Loading
Condition One, or "Locked and Cocked." Chamber loaded, magazine full, hammer cocked and safety applied.
- StepPoint 1the weapon in a safe direction. Critical step in case it accidentally discharges!
- StepPush 2the safety from left to right to activate it.
- StepPull the charging handle to the rear; it will lock on its own.
- Take a shell and insert it into the chamber through the ejection port. Press the bolt release to snap the bolt shut.
- Take the remaining shells and insert them into the magazine through the loading gate on 3the bottom of the receiver until the magazine is full.
Step 1 StepCannot 2 Stepbe 3done.
Condition Three. Chamber empty, magazine full, hammer down, safety off.
- StepPoint 1the Stepweapon in a safe direction. Critical 2step in case it accidentally discharges!
- StepTake the shells and insert them into the magazine through the loading gate on the bottom of the receiver until the magazine is 3full.
Unloading
How to unload the firearm and make safe. Presented in a numbered list.
- StepPoint the weapon in a safe 1direction. Critical step in case it accidentally discharges!
- StepPush the safety from left to right to activate 2it.
- StepPull the charging handle back to eject the cartridge in the chamber and gently ride it forward.
- Turn the gun over and press the cartridge retaining lever with your right index finger to release the first cartridge. The carrier latch must be pressed for each ejected cartridge.
- When no more cartridges come out, pull the charging handle back and examine the chamber for ammunition. Release the charging handle.
- Deactivate the safety.
- Pull the 3trigger.

- Slide down the forearms and pull them off of the barrel.

- While holding the charging handle firmly, extrapress the stepscarrier beyondbutton merelyand performinglet the abovebolt backwards,move listforward themslightly inuntil anotherit numberedstops. Twist and pull off the charging handle.
