Part 1: Bugging In

I live in the middle of Long Island, New york. Yes, I know, death trap. I plan on moving to a more remote location when I complete college. In the mean time I have stocked up on food and water, about 8 months of each and have a large stockpile of heritage seeds. I keep the back of my garage stocked with lumber to bolster the doors and windows. And then we have the weapons. My armory is fairly small, I keep a 12 ga. shotgun, and a 9mm carbine. I have plenty of ammo for both. I also a wide variety of melee weapons, and yes, they are battle worthy. I forged them myself. I think I would go with my war hatchet and one of my larger knives. So for phase 1-2 I'm pretty set. If I gathered a few friends I would probably stay through a phase 3.
