Is your plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere?My plan is more of general when the SHTF not so dependent on Zombies but it should work in that case. I would need to get out of the city.
Will you be staying in your home or headed somewhere else?
I work at a business with a huge warehouse and several offices in an industral park. We sell industry specific electronics. I would first gather all needed items (my guns, ammo, can goods, spare clothes/blankets, and other needed items. Leave for warehouse.
Once at the warehouse I would first a secondary defence with boxed pallets as to reinforce the dock doors and any other means of entry. As for the office I would rearrange the heavy wood desks/furniture to block the windows and doors. The offices with window access the solid core doors would be screwed shut and and blocked off.
There is a small bottled water (supply 50 gallons) and 10KW UPS would be used for only when needed. Also there several 30 ft racks in which sleeping/living quarters would be constructed. The sky lights would provide light during the day and use self powered light at night. I would also construct a gravity showers in the restrooms.
Heat and Cold would be and issue so to construct several rack forts/living spaces in which could be heated and cooled if possible.
Also I would be trying to armor vehicles and make supply them for a hasty get away if needed.
There is a Home Depot, Walmart, Target and several food stores with 5 miles. I would raid them provided they were not currently occupied on cleaned out.
For additional Firearms and Ammo since every one is will probally going to raid Walmart and Gun stores, I would try local police depts (4) in about 6 mile area.
I would like to raid Home Depot for:
Several ladders
Soil/seeds/plants to grow on the flat roof
Bottled water 5 gallon jugs
Supplies for more further reinforce windows and doors
Additional lumber to make rack living spaces
Various other items to filter water, provide gravity showers, and waste disposal
Buckets/plumbing for water collection
I would raid Walmart/Target/Dicks/Food stores:
Any canned/pre-packaged food
Water
Ammo/Firearms
Blankets/needed clothes/shoes
Solar/self sustained items
Propane/propane heaters
Camping fuel/flammables
Camping Supplies
Pharmacy/first aids/paper products
Bleach/disinfectant
If you're heading out, how do you plan to get there?
SUV with spare (4) 5 gallon gasoline containers (15 mile drive to warehouse)
Got anyone you want to take with you?
My Wife, dog, tell family and friends where to meet up (about 15-20 people if they make it)
How will you communicate with the outside world, or do you plan to go the hermit route?

Glock 34 Hi-cap mags (5) plus 2 std mags. I own (5) pistols (4) rifles and (2) shotguns. I have enough firearms to arm 10 other family members.

I would try to keep a low profile but I may help them if needed. It would be a group decision.
