Part 1: Bugging In

Bionic's home
Sweet light effect

Currently, i am making a garden in my rooftop, with lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, potatoes and basil (thinking of more), and i'm starting a food storage; of course, first i've got to get rid of all the random crap i've got in my "soon-to-be-storage".
In the event of z-day happening:
1) close all ground floor doors and windows.
2) bring BOB, not-so-perishable food, clothing and family to the second floor (storage, FAK and weapons are already there).
3) put ladder in 1st floor so i may climb.stair
4) destroy service staircase (i've got 2 staircases, but only the service one reaches the 2nd floor).
With a bucket and rope mechanism, bring up any other stuff i may have forgotten, then climb up the ladder, and pull it up. Meanwhile, my family will be filling any container/receptacle we have with water (washing machine) and pulling the bucket up. While we are bugged in, we'll eat the perishables first, then the garden and canned foods, hopefully in a slightly sustainable manner (let more food grow.)
A small step for me, a huge leap for zombies

Part 2: Bugging Out
(Man, Google Earth is useful)

First of all, get the heck out of the city:
Distrito Federal is an overly-complicated city, with horribly designed street layouts, car parked in absurdly wrong manners, and perpetually angry drivers, so the odds are, when bugging-out time comes, it will be completely impossible to drive a car on those stupid streets, and for that reason i'll be using a bike. Fortunately, my house enjoys the proximity of the Xochimilco lake, which will hopefully be ignored as a means of escape by most people, and whose cannals can lead me almost to the outside of the city. A "trajinera" boat can carry quite a lot of people and gear. The artificial isles "chinampas" throughout the lake may serve as a temporary BOL.
Once i've got out of the lake, i can bike or "borrow a car" on the outskirts of the city.

City cleared, now what?
If facing a level 2 outbreak (or if it's level 1 and i couldn't bug in long enough), i'll try to find through the radio a secure BOL, then using my atlas and/or highway map sketch a route.
If we are facing a level 3-4 outbreak, i'll make my way to the coast of Guerrero, picking up fellow survivors. Once there, we'll search for boats or airships (planes, helicopters) that can accomodate us all, and depart to Isla Clarion

[This is the section where you detail how you wil escape to your Bug Out Location. What vehicles you use, the routes you take, etc]

Part 3: Digging In

Go on, click on the link. I'll wait.
So, as you can see, a chinampa is an artificial island, made especifically to grow crops. They may serve as a temporary retreat, where i may be able to resupply on food. However, they are way too close to the city to serve as a permanent BOL

Isla Clarion

[Here you detail your BOL. If it is an existing building, any modifications. If it is something you intend to build, then show us the designs, the reasons for each addition, etc]

Part 4: Living
[So you have escaped the plague, you are in your BOL, and now you have to do the hardest task of all: cope with your new daily life. What is that like? How long will you be doing that?]
