Guys, you may not want to hear this, and ladies, you may find it sexist, but the truth is, Humanity CAN survive without males. (It’s threadbare, but it CAN be done.) After the
Apocalypse (of any sort), women will probably outnumber males anywhere from 3 to 1 to 100 to 1 (depending on the scope of the Apocalypse- the bigger the scope, the greater the degree of f/m disproportionality).
Mother Nature even planned around THIS EXACT fact; Female sperm (father contribution) is fatter and slower because it has more protein; Ladies, when you put on weight and can’t shed it, blame daddy. It really IS our fault, and not your mom’s. The need for this is that it will last longer, and in a far more hostile environment, than your brothers. This continues long after gestation is complete (references include the infamous Donner Party fiasco).
Male sperm is faster but has less endurance; The male of the species developed to catch meat. Unfortunately, this design continues up to death; We burn out faster. (That’s why women outlive males on old age.)
