In Dawn of the Dead, main character Ana escapes her zombie husband, takes the car, crashes said car, and ends up in a shopping mall... while being in pajamas.
Most of us have in mind the clothes/armor we would like to be wearing in the zombocalypse; things like denim pants, leather jacket, boots... underwear. After all, nobody thinks of facing zombies naked! (Except maybe for you. You know who you are.) But what if you find yourself in Ana's situation?
.
If you are in your home when z-day (or z-night) arrives, you already have a great advantage (and there's a chance you're a creepy shut-in ;P), however, if you're bugging in, there may not be time to wear your clothes when you have to haul your gear upstairs, barricade and destroy staircases, or the floor where your clothes are is overrun. Or maybe you have to suddenly bug out.
.
The bugging gear, then, is all the stuff that you will be wearing when bugging in or out (minus your BOB and weapons) in case you are not already wearing it. It's very simple: Take a disposable plastic bag, and put inside a full set of clothing (perhaphs the ones that you will be wearing tomorrow, or your full zombie armor), your gadgets, and your EDC. If you have extra armor you think of wearing on top of your regular clothes, put it in another bag (or your BOB), so that you don't have to sort out the armor from the stuff you're wearing tomorrow. Leave your bugging gear near your bed or your BOB. That way, when z-day comes, you'll be able to suit up, and not look weird while running around.
