Time to bug out!

"Bug Out" is a military term that means EVERYTHING in camp must be packed up to move - immediately! In this case, you are leaving - NOW!

What do you do?

How will you live?

What's important to take with you?

DAMN!

This is a guide to bugging out to help you prepare for that day. This section will cover everything from your "bug-out-bag" to survival in the wilderness. We will cover things like survival kits, shelter building, designing your own bug-out-bag and fire building. These will also be practical skills for real life survival situations as they apply here too.

We've discussed this a little but never had a serious discussion on these possibly very valuable resources, so i think its a good idea to finally make a serious thread about them so what our your guys opinions?

I was out today and thought, 'What type of bike would be better if TSHTF?' Three main types of bikes I could think of were:
The BMX
The Mountain Bike
The Road Bike

They all have their advantages and disadvantages when it comes to different scenarios. The BMX is small and great for urban use. The Mountain Bike is an all rounder and can go cross country quite easily. The Road Bike is great for streets as you can go really darn fast on them.

As for disadvantages, the BMX, you can only use in the city and has no cross country capabilities (really). The mountain bike is rather large and you can't fit it through small gaps easily. The Road Bike has really thin tyres which are useless off road and are difficult to replace.
