Campaigning Rules and VotingThis is a featured page

How to vote:
Come June 15th you will have the right, as a ZSDW member to use your vote. There are a few restrictions upon who can vote, but I assure you that 99.9% of ZSDW users will be eligible to vote on June 15th.

Your 3 step guide to voting.
  1. View the list of candidates.
  2. Pick 3 that you like the sound of and put them in order of 1, 2 and 3. With number 1 being the candidate you like the most.
  3. Send your vote to ZSDWSecureBallotBox in a private message! Do NOT create any threads on ZSDWSecureBallotBox's page. Marsden and (Admin TBC) will log into the ballot box on June 22nd and the votes shall be counted publicly on a ZSDW thread and live on the IRC with a possible video stream of counting on TinyChat to provide maximum legitimacy and openness to this election.
Voting Restrictions and Regulation
All users are eligible vote provided they:
  1. have created their account prior to the 13th June 2011;
Users will be denied the vote if they:
  1. are banned from the ZSDW* during the electoral week at any point and for any duration;
  2. have attempted to subvert democracy or cheat in previous ZSDW elections;
  3. attempt to subvert democracy or cheat in this ZSDW election;
  4. use multiple accounts.**

*Bans from the IRC do not result in a denial of voting rights.
** If you already use multiple accounts please limit your voting to one of your accounts. The ZSDW staff shall be monitoring IP addresses and if we detect any anomalies we shall null and void your vote.

Campaigning Rules:

  1. You may post whatever you want in your own campaign thread.
  2. No attack ads or negative campaigning, only positive politics.
  3. You may use 1 bump a day on your election thread. This consists of a post with the only content being, "Bump" to get attention.

toxic_shock Questions for the Candidates (page: 1 2) 32 Jun 17 2011, 11:01 PM EDT by jdi35

I'm taking the liberty of introducing a thread in which members can post questions to the moderator candidates. This way, a member can ask a question and all candidates can put in their two cents, rather than ask each individual candidate on their individual campaign threads.

I don't want to turn this into a mudslinging debate. More of a town hall discussion. A place to ask our questions without singling anyone out.

I am drawing a blank on good questions at the moment, but I'll try to kick us off here: What will you do for the site? Really. Everyone says they will act as fair and impartial mods, but it takes more than that to grow the habitual user base and turn jokers into contributors. Can one man make a difference? And if so...how?
