Canadian FlagI created this page for all Canadians on the site to get together and share some information. It is also for Americans, who think that all Canadians are maple syrup licking, beaver hugging, Frenchies, and I want to show them that that is an unfair label. Canadians are often hunters, and survivalists, just as much as Americans. We can hold our own just as well as you can, we DO have an army, which is currently serving in Iraq (I personally have 2 friends that are there now), and we are very strong-willed people. We are usually more polite (no offense), which will allow us to have better relations with other survivors. We have lots of guns, because of all of the hunting we do, and there are not many major population centers, at least not near each other. We've got lots of fertile land, and many places are above the snowline, which will render zombies ineffective. So other Canadian survivors, add what you like and what you see fit to add, and tell us where you live.

Useful Links for Citizens of Canada:

  • The Canadian Firearms Program - Government organizations responsible for the national regulation of firearms. Contained detailed and important legal information.
  • Firearms Canada - Organization of Canadian gunsmiths, manufacturers and sellers. Good source for finding all Canadian businesses related to firearm ownership.
  • The Canadian Criminal Code - pertaining to gun ownership in Canada. Largely relates to the specific banned weaponry. Good reference for those interested in private gun ownership.

Canadian Zombie Survivalists and Wiki Members:
(alphabetical)

Deoghbaire: Regina (lame). So here's the game plan for Canada. As soon as the outbreak hits head as far north or too the Rockies as quick as possible with your respective guns/honey (love the honey) and gear. Keep out any undesirables that cannot survive in our climate (still pretty sure no Floridians will make it that far north). Come early winter come down from our perches and start busting some frozen brains. Continue until snow hits (don't wanna walk into a z mouth like a bear trap). Come back in early thaw time to bust some more skulls and quickly cultivate and plant seeds. Tractors are an impenetrable fortress. Retreat back to regular safe home base and come back in time to harvest crops and haul ass back home. After a few years the zombies should be mostly wiped out and we will be established enough to bomb any possible major zombie outposts off the map. Likely the style of living for at least a generation so there isn't a re-outbreak due to people getting careless a'la 28 weeks later.

dominickmagas: Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada (and proud of it!)

Ejiki: Newfoundland, Canada. Aside from being a huge island with large rocky coastline...there's only a population of about 500,000. Plus there's plenty of vegetation and animals to hunt. My province rocks.

LegendRn- I'm not Canadian, but I will say that Northern Canada is one of the best places to be during z-day, because all the zeds not wearing parkas will freeze to death

Masterson: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Proud member of the U of S Zombie Militia
For myself: trained in winter survival, first-aid, close quarter combat, small arms, shotguns and rifles. And a wealth of knowledge in regards to Chemistry, Physics and Military History. As a group, our combined knowledge borders on nightmarish: Blackpowder, Gun-cotton, various homemade explosives, siege engine construction, fortress construction, ancient construction techniques, herbilism.
Surprising enough, all members are in generally good shape.
Canadian Tire on Circle Drive in Saskatoon is our first hold-out location selected. Easy enough to secure and more than enough supplies to become self-sufficent, including food/water collection/production and energy production.
As for winter, average winter temp is -15C with it dipping to -40C and cooler with the winds. More than enough to freeze any "Zed" in our area, making easy targets.. Summer, simply secure again and wait till winter.

Mehillus: Thompson, Manitoba. i live in a small city, and you can get to anywhere in half an hour on foot from my house, and my location is easily defensible. unfortunately, there is only one way in or out of he city, so, if it got blocked, i may be screwed.

Richboy33l: I think Canadians rock. There's plenty of bacon and syrup, a good climate, nice and friendly folks, and you are the most peaceful folks except Fiji and Iceland, both of which have incredibly small armies. I could consider going to Canada, as long as you save some syrup and bacon for me.

Splinter: I live in British Columbia. Good idea on heading north but since I'm close to the coast i think I'm gonna hop on a boat with my trusty (but stolen) rifle and make for Vitoria island. It is a fairly big place but i figure with enough work I'll be able to quarantine the place, build walls and the like around the most of the island. hopefully find some other survivors. build up a big group and arm everyone with sufficient training and the like. Then it's time to head on down to America to hopefully find some better weapons/survivors maybe if lucky I'll come into contact with wiki members.stock up on whatever i can get with my team of 25. 2 semi's one is cargo one is gas. then I'll head north and hopefully collect anyone willing to come back to my base on the island.

Survivor_Gill: Southern Ontario. Great shot, quick learner. All you need to know.

Swingcat: Toronto, Canada.

Thedeadwalkk: Lower Mainland British Columbia, in the past day i have made a survival plan for BC members, how ever it is more focused towards people who live near vancouver, but i urge you to check it out. link is: http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/page/British+Columbia+Zombie+Survival feel free to add anything in it that you wish.

Tigertank: Oshawa, Ontaio. We could always use PEI, since very fertile soil, an island, only 1 bridge onto the island, along with a medium sized airport and a harbour. There's always the Arctic Islands like Baffin Island, or Ellesmere Island. In some larger cities, some universities could be used since they have large amounts of food. Only problem is some are large and a lot of windows to cover and area to cover.

Twodogs2: Victoria, BC. On the West Coast, small islands are the way to go. Me and my stolen boat would be on the move, looking for supplies and survivors. It's wet out here, but at least there's not really nay extreme weather to deal with. I fit turns out the zombies freeze in winter, then I just head north and take advantage of the few lighthouses that are still scattered along the coast. I imagine they'd be pretty easy to fortify and defend.

Dooran: Halifax, Nova Scotia. Currently an Engineering student, planning on taking up residence down by Halifax Harbour in the event of a zombie outbreak. Got some promising forticifcations between the naval base, ammunition depot, and railyard.

Waghte: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Works in the Media which gives him access to a lot of information, resources and chances to try a lot of things. Has thought extensively on his survival plan, is preparing for the worst case scenario and has the motivation and charisma to take on a lead position. My plan involves trying to save as many lives as possible and make sure those saved STAY alive. My survival plan is simmila to Masterson's with the Freezing time being utilized as an easy target time.

USNtwidget: is currently in the US navy, plans on moving back to maine after i get out, i have plenty of US legal guns at home and on the event of Z day im heading for Nova Scotia or New Brunswick
Not_Dead_Paul: Kanata, Ontario (Near Ottawa).
