No. A good Zombie Survival Plan requires preparation prior to occurrence of such a disaster.
Will you be staying in your home or headed somewhere else?
My Team and I will post defensive posture at 1879 Hawthorne Ave. It is a well built house with minimal entry points, 2 stories, and it has a clear view for approximately 1 mile in all directions.
If you're heading out, how do you plan to get there?
Travel will consist of quick transportation using 4x4 trucks to haul supplies. If a larger vehicle is needed, we will assist ourselves at a local crane factory 9 miles away and pick up a semi or crane. (I work there)
Got anyone you want to take with you?
I have a household of 4 not including myself. I also have a Team that has been preparing for the past 8 months.
How will you communicate with the outside world, or do you plan to go the hermit route?
I plan on using CB for local use, KWAY FM/AM (12 miles away) for long range one-way broadcasts, and if need be, I can tap the tower at KWAY with the CB for long range "SPAM" radio communications.
How are you planning to get food and water?
Hunting and farming are the two best methods for long-term food sources, but to start off we have about 2 months of rations to work with until the chaos settles down. From there, raiding stores is an option for limited time, and then moving forward to raiding abandoned houses for extra time until harvest sets in. Water is of easy access since we run off of well water. Though, during a zombie infestation, it should automatically be a point to boil your water no matter the source to keep from being infected.
What's your weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that?
I do not have a weapon of choice since I have many weapons. I currently am equipped with the following:
Got a survival philosophy?
Stay on Defence when at your fort. Stay on Offence when outside of your Fort. NEVER BE COMPLACENT!
Are you willing to hook up with other survivors?
Yes. If they are willing to follow directions, I can always use another gunner. If they will not take orders and hold up their side of the shift, then they are worthless and will either be left high and dry, or will be used as bait to occupy large hordes for offensive actions.
Is your plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist we may have heard of?
No. I have been working on this SP for 3 years. Though I have to give shout-outs to my comrades over at Zombie Preparedness Initiative for arguing with me. They do keep me entertained.
