Code of Conduct
The Zombie wiki is a vibrant site that allows contributions from registered members. Simple ground rules apply:
"I vote WHITE POWER< SKIN HEADS<HITLER for real" this type of crap is not tolerated on this site and will earn you an immediate IP ban without question or trail. do not make this mistake people.
For those that need details on offensive material, here are the rules we use when dealing with bad content or behavior...
Update: Ladies and Gentlemen.
We almost had to ban ANOTHER member for sabotage. Not simply "vandalism" but SABOTAGE. As in, "Trying to get you bitten or killed."
You may not like this-or-that page. That is your RIGHT, and it is your RIGHT to disregard the advice given to YOUR profit or deficient (as the case may be). It is NOT, however, your right to take away from other the chance to consider alternative options. THAT. IS. NEVER. YOUR. RIGHT. Even if you started the page.
Some people here believe the AK-47 is the WORST gun you can take; Other, the AR-15 Series. But NO ONE has the right to remove their respective entries. The commentary on the AK-47's hype was put up; That's because the member who did so knows some of you think it's God's gift to the survivor, or are going to find one of those and NO alternatives, and therefore s/he felt obligated to ensure that you to survive, whether it's the skin job rising, end of the world, or a simple street riot. THAT, is neither vandalism nor sabotage. That's giving you the heads-up of the reality on the ground. That's "Looking out for you."
But the most recent case of SABOTAGE was the deleting of a full page for no particular reason. We will be on a heightened alert for the next few days to further acts of sabotage.
- Before you add a page, use the search box above the navigation to see if your topic already exists. If it does, add to that page.
- Recognize that there are no zombie experts - yet.
- This site is about a shared interest - zombies - so be reasonable, respect other people's opinions, and treat others how you want to be treated.
- Keep your content clean. If we find out content that is racist, nasty, or targets other people, it will be removed.
- Fill out your profile! If no one knows anything about you, it's gonna be hard to get to know you!
- Remember to compliment users who have made great contributions! A wiki is much more work than you would think to keep us so let people know when they've done a great job.
- Do not bombard a person with insults if they have wronged you or any other member in this wiki in any way. That will only make things worse. If this happens, contact an Admin or Mod.
- Vandalism: Vandalism has become a major problem around here. “Vandalism” is defined as taking down text or pics, or altering them in a negative light; For example, some people think the Katana is a total waste of time- A joke of a weapon that belongs in improvised weapons or weapons of opportunity only. There are others who the katana is God’s gift to melee combat. Fine; They are welcome to opinion. As long as they articulate why it’s a good weapon, it SHOULD stay. If it were to remove the text, or to overwritten as “This is the suckiest piece of shit ever conceived”, that would be vandalism. From now on, if mods have to undo someone’s vandalism, they will ban them on the spot. THIS as the last warning- DO NOT VANDALIZE A PAGE. Or face the consequences.

- We will delete individual posts, threads, pages, or sections of offensive content.
- When we do, we'll notify the contributor about it. If the contributor continues to add offensive behavior to the wiki, they will be banned from the site.

A member of this site vandalized another site because he didn't like them being higher on someone's "top 10" list or something like that.
That is HIGHLY innapriate. There was no excuse for this. Rather than just ingnore the other site, or perhaps advertise this one, he elected to vandalize theirs. We've been having an issue of some asswipe coming in here and vandalizing the site (it's bad enough what we do to ourselves trying to "improve" things that we really don't need the help). |
