Dealing with a Zombie Mob |

Version 89 - view current page

How would you deal with 100 or more zombies?

We've all got plans on where to run, how to deal with a quick flight, and who can join us in our battle. Too bad life never seems to work out that way....Assume you get surrounded - how would you deal with a crowd of 100 or more zombies at once?

Just click on Easyedit on this page and add your idea to the list below.

Rules:

  • You don't have to justify where you got your weapon, just imagine that you have anything you need at your disposal.
  • The solution cannot kill you, too. (Unless you're the kind that wants to only kill 100, and that's just lazy....)
  • You should be able to kill at least 75% of the mob with your method.
  • You should be able to snipe out 50% of the zombies, then start using physical combat until you pass out or die.

Ideas:

Before I leave my house I'll put on some motor bike leathers and helmet. Then I can run straight though a zombie hoard and come out the other side unharmed.
  • What I would do PFFT in a zombie mob depends how big it is and on my weapon. Ok, lets say I had a katana and a shotgun and that there were 100 zombies. I would start shooting at those fugly bastards until I run out of shells. After that I would get my 160 cm katana and safely hack at them from out of harms way...yes Thats what I would do...They are dumb and incredibly slow, so yeah, anyone would be able to do it. FROM Tim add my msn addy plz sliferx2_x@hotmail.com
  • Remember, the best weapon you have is what the zombie's desire most...Your brain! Use it to your advantage! The worst possible place to be stuck in during a zombie attack is a large city such as Los Angeles or New York. However, this location can also be used as the ultimate mouse trap for killing or incapacitating zombies. The average zombie is likely to have limited mental capacity and is unlikely to have any self preservation instincts. To maximize your resource to kill ratio, turn your fortified sanctuary into a zombie killing machine. First step, Fortify the bottom floors of a 10+ story building (the taller the better). My personal choice would be U.S. Bank Tower in Downtown Los Angeles, 73 stories and 1018 feet tall. 2nd, Fortify the main passage from the building's main entrance to the central stairwell. 3rd, Fortify the stairwell so that the only exit is at the second to last floor. 4th, Fortify a path from the stairwell to the nearest window on the opposite side of the building from the main entrance. Knock out the window. 5th, Open the main entrance and lure the first few zombies up the stairwell. Hopefully the rest will follow (it's not like they have anything better to do). The Z's will stumble their way out of the stairwell, through the passageway and out the window. Gravity will take care of the rest. When the pile of broken bodies is about 2/3 up the side of the building, throw some thermite grenades onto the pile to burn it away a bit. This is not guarunteed to kill every Z, but will incapacitate or damage a great number. If the pile of bodies grows to large, paraglide to the next building and repeat. from JaxomKT (Los Angeles,USA)
  • Hey guys! My plan with be to stick it out with my M1 Carbine with grenade launcher, then for a melee situation I would use a sharpened machete to hack them down (unless I still have bullets). I'll stay at my fortified home and pop anything that comes within 20 feet of the base, plus I'll have to use a silencer on my M1 Carbine to make it sound quieter. I don't want hundreds more coming knocking at my door! from Danny (UK)
  • Massive spray of liquid nitrogen to freeze the zombies in place, then a team with Louisville sluggers goes to town shattering zombies heads. AngelaB
  • On the roof of Costco, use improvised stuff, like flaming tires off the roofs to wipe out a good percentage of zombies, tthen send out a troop of armored forklifts with gun support from up top. from vanrulzz
  • I say get a tank and run em down! Yee haw!! from,fastkid109
  • All I would need would be a M1 Carbine, and a few Molotovs. create a large enough gap in the zombie circle using my gun, then run out and use the Molotovs and watch those moes burn. After destroy any left with rifle. 'Ell Yah!!! From Reaper15
  • Ok, this is what I would do--I'd get to the top of a buliding only accesible by stairs, then I would put tripwire on the stairs and would have a very large and sharp blade at the height of the zombies heads when they fall. so the zombies trip and the momentum of them falling cuts off their own head. No work needed (except putting blade and trip wire in)--ironknight
  • OK, I would get a katana, an odachi, and two scorpian sub-machine guns(with an ass-load of ammo), get together with my friends (we've all actualy prepared for this thing, I'm just making a VERY fanciful version) set up a base then start having fun. :) You'd all see me cutting a bloody swath through the hordes of the undead, hacking and slashing through their heads whilst spraying off a couple hundred rounds into the rest of the crowd every so often. If you look closely, you will see a sadistic smile of pleasure at the onslaught of death and carnage I'm creating. Once the ammo is out, I run to the edge of the crowd, pivot 360 degrees while throwing nitroglycerine jugs(yes nitro filled 1 gallon milk jugs), back flip out of the way and land just in time to see most of the horde get blown back to hell. After that I just run back into the crowd, odachi in hand, for clean-up. I hope you enjoyed my fantasy. :P : Dylan-the-almighty
  • I would go with a grenade launcher, but attach a flamethrower on the bottom of it (a la Ripley from Aliens), for crowd control. One would have to maybe get some sort of high ground, and then unload grenades into the masses, keeping the rest at bay with the flame thrower. : Cory
  • Get in a pick up truck and make noise. Then when they come and chase you, drive off and shoot them one by one. Omg, you defeated the zombies. :anoynamous kartf
  • This is where preparation becomes so important. Assuming that most people don't have access to an arsenal of military grade weapons, you're going to have to make do with what you have at hand. The odds of surviving an all out Zed attack without some basic strategy and planning are basically nil. First of all, in the absolute first instance of an outbreak, get to your pre-selected location and fortify your defenses! An elevated deer stand with supplies for a month would suffice, but having a zed-proof shelter already established and a survival strategy mapped out would be optimal. Once you establish a perimeter (say with a wooden palisade or a deep trench) you can pick off the zeds at your leisure from a safe distance. If you are unable (or unwilling) to make these kinds of plans, get out of populated areas and get to some out of the way place as quickly as possible.
  • I would use a chain gun in the middle and just spin around and if it overheats or jams etc I would have a spare shotgun on my back.
  • If they're slow enough, all you need is some shot guns, friends and some Mountain Dew !!--UNDERTHEGROUND
  • Do what Neo did to all the agent smiths in the Matrix, or use two light sabers and the force to kill them all. That would be egg whites
  • If I found myself surrounded I would use a carbine first to pick off the stragglers and throw some Molotovs around the group to herd them in. Signal a friend waiting in an armored car or bus and let him run over as many as he can and pick off the stragglers with a combination of shotgun and sword. EnriqueB.
  • I would start by hopping in my Dodge Magnum, which has AWD and a powerful hemi, and circling the mob clockwise, nailing the zombies closest to the edge. This way, if the resistance becomes great enough to halt the car, the driver-side door is opposite the bulk of the mob, making for an easier escape. This seems to me like a good way to kill or cripple a good portion of the zombies before taking out the rest with melee weapons. To me, guns and explosives should be conserved for even larger mobs unless absolutely necessary. (all this assuming that they are the slow, staggering zombies)
  • With enough planning, I'd suggest pouring gasoline onto an intersection on a road. In the center above the ground (I suggest tied to a traffic light) hang a boom box containing the loudest CD you can get your hands on (I'd suggest Lamb of God) and make sure it can be operated by remote control. Set it to the loudest song on repeat, and put it on max volume. Wait for the Zombies to flood in, and try to get to it, and then take as many Molotov Cocktails as possible, and throw them into the crowd. Pretty soon, every zombie within radius will be engulfed, and any that enter later will be come in contact with an already burnt zombie. Now, RUN LIKE HELL, because it takes about 5 hours (according to the Zombie Survival Guide) for a zombie to die of burning, so get as far away from them as possible, and away from the city, as to make sure you do not get trapped in a burning building. Note: This only works in a City, or a place with multi-story buildings that are overlooking the street. Kyhan
  • For close range, I suggest a Katana or Xiaolin Spade, as they are the best hand held weapons, and pretty sharp if kept in good condition. Also, pack a shotgun just in case, for medium range. Although do not fire it unless necessary, because a shotgun can be very loud and can give away your position, leading more hungry zombies your way. Kyhan
  • Well, have a well fortified position(e.g. a suburban home)and when the zombies show up, have your buddies mow them down with automatic weapons and/or shotguns, and if more remain after they run out of ammo, use Molotov cocktails, then kill the rest with side arms and a sharpened machete.(note: for this plan to work you need several fall-back positions in case there are too many zombies)Zombie Slayer RC
  • Alright, find a large urban building, get some very loud surround sound speakers, set a timed demolition charge, and put on the most hardcore Iron Maiden you can find.once the place floods with undead, watch from a distance as the building and everything inside is blown to dust.Hakuna Matada, B. .ches.Zombie Slayer RC

Get a Roomba. Disable the infrared. Attach rotating lawnmower blades to the top. After that first one cuts off all their legs, then a second Roomba comes through with disabled IR and a match with a large amount of hairspray on the back and burns the zombies out.

Snipe first with a silent weapon, and or use an incendiary device (i.e. molotov cocktail) to destroy multiple zombies. Remember, you can easily out run a zombie so use of a melee weapon as you weave through the horde is a definite must. Jeff Sacramento, CA
OK i will get some friends go my dads frevert gun store that has a volt to all the gun in. get them and other things. go to higher ground and shot. Taylor Houser from Fox lake, PS I'm 10 years old.

  • if i was put in this situation i would just try to take out as many of the zombies as i can before they eat me. i mean thats really all you can hope to do right? - Rose_Thorns
  • i think i would hide in my basement or something BEFORE the zombies showed up, and hope that they'd go right past my house without going inside. because there aren't any weapons at my house, and really i don't think i could last against 100 zombies.
  • I would hide in the four foot crawl space under my house with some friends and family and we would pick them off using some of our guns and the vent holes surrounding the house. Then when there were only a few left we would run out and get in myVideos, slideshows, RSS feeds, and more... dad's Dodge and run them down (it has a hemi and is pretty tough).
  • mine is raid a power plant for electricity then an army base

Steal a Humvee from an army base and load up with some 50cal bullets, diesel and dudes with pancor jackhammers and 357.'s as secondary gun Jieweiwong

  • Of course it's every zombie enthusiast dream to take out an entire mass of flesh eating hell spawns. But zombie confrontation should ALWAYS be kept to a bear minimum. Fighting requires a vast amount of energy and you'll need it to run and stay alive. Run around masses, use hand codes with survivors, ride bikes, be a ninja. As soon as one knows of you they'll never stop. But if confrontation cannot be avoided, then use the quietest form of elimination possible. If the mass is close but not too close, use a shotgun. But be aware you might die during reload time. If you are with other survivors with shotguns, have then fire while your reload and vice versa. Another alternative, use a carbine, deep breaths (helps inprove accuracy) and try to make every shot a killing blow. Always give yourself an opening and reload time. Chainsaws are too heavy and will run low on gas quickly and should only be used on lone zombies (that you feel you must kill.) Never find yourself parted from another survivor because if worse comes to worse, push him/her down and retreat. Is that ethical? You tell me. Will the flesh-eating mutants care what's "ethical" and not?

The real way to stay alive!

OK first stay home it gives you a home field advantage unless you live in the city or a large population area start now scout friends /family or property you can fortify or purchase now . 1st the army base good thought bad idea 1st not every town has a military base

2cnd there the f*&^%$^ military they, unlike you are trained for this to survive . they don't have to leave to find a safe haven there already there. and by the time all the personnel die off or leave there wont be any good supplies let unless your mc giveir . plus the general public aka you! don't always know there way around military issued weapons also the ammo is restricted and of limited supply and access your best bet fire arm wise are these 1st 3 rifles a 22 bolt action a 270 .cal bolt action and a pump 12 gauge and this is why. the 22 great to train with now and cheep to buy plus the ammo is every where and easy to carry a 22 caliber round can travel 1-1/2 to 2 miles but it will punch the scull and bounce around inside the cranial cavity effectively destroying the brain while not going out the other side if you get good with it it could save someone you care about with a well placed shot also they are the easy is to silence you can get 2 almost silent shots out of a baby bottle nipple taped over the barrel .
the 270 cal. bolt action and i say bolt action over semi cause a gum jam could be a fatal mistake . this gun has a lot more power than its given credit for at 300 yards you can punch through 2 car doors so a mobile home wall or stick built home would not stop this round and again this ammo is every where . the pump 12 gauge i suggest 3 and1/4 inch slug or buck shot for those of you who aren't that good of a shot this is a street sweeper if your stuck in that kind of situation
2 hand guns a high capacity 22 /9mm/380 or 30cal. semi auto and a revolver back up in the same cal. as the other side arm so the ammo is interchangeable these cal. are cheep easy to carry a lot of and again every where. plus don't forget the most important weapon a sword or machete full tang good quality cause this never runs out of ammo and will never jam . now food farm your own veggies and fruit cotton and tobacco this will be of greater trading value than money or weapons . as far as meat farm again if you can goat chicken or deer these are small easy to care for and a renewable meat source no cattle or pigs they eat to much and are to large to transport if need be can food great idea but on a raid take nothing that has to be cooked or kept in cold storage . water all the bottled water you can find forget soda or wine and beer take liqueur if you can cause it has far more use than a buzz focus on medical supplies get as much as you can find and learn now as much as you can you will need it . trans port only something you know how to drive the i deal thing would be a ready maid armored support vehicle but i didn't see that on the lot at the dealership last i looked so take what ever you have or can get and fortify the windows and doors but choose the vehicle wisely if its a vw bug or something light like that it will be stopped or overturned by a horde if you encounter them and there dead they can wait longer than you can remember the rule of 3 you can survive 3 min without air 3 days with water and 3 weeks with out food don't believe me ask your doctor they don't have this limitation and now the last thing your home safe haven remember nowhere is safe only safer use any thing to fence in your perimeter overturned cars tractor trailers if you have a tractor to do this 12 or 15 foot metal fence so it can be electrified and a concrete base wall you don't want other survivors looting your place and leaving you vulnerable if they crash a truck through your fence to get your stuff or to get away from a fallowing horde you will need a generator and some solar panels to stick it out for the long haul now friends and family this is the hard part for you. no elderly and no one who is sick only the healthy from 50 to baby s your not just trying to keep your self alive but our kind as well plus you don't have to be the able to out run the horde just your group. now for the last thing the places not to go 1st the city 2cnd a prison 3rd a hospital 4th schools 5th walmart or malls 6th churches 7th grocery stores . cause there will already be to may infected and to many dumb a$$ survivors there in the first place. there is a library full of other stuff you should or should not do but i don't have the the time to tell you all of it this will give you a lot better chance than anyone else you know hope it will help .ltr lastat61683 sorry for my bad spelling my key board is on the fritz .

  • The scenario: My group composed to myself, Mike, Richard, and a single female find ourselves surrounded in an Urban setting. We find that the streets are teeming, and the zombies are closing from in front and behind due to the two way street. The buildings are either side and ransacked and just a step above rubble.
    • The plan: To put it frankly, things look more than bleak. We would likely dispatch several front "runners" but considering we are on the move and not in a fortified defense point, this is a deadly situation. The best course of action would be to book it to the adjacent building and climb over the presumed rubble, or through the broken windows. At this point we are not in a very dire situation. This is a multi story building, and we do not know if it is crawling or not. With our limited ammunition and melee ability, we make a quick, tightly knit group as we ascend the stares. The zombies are of course still behind us at this point, and we are attempted to climb to the highest defensible position. Assuming the presence of zombies already in the building is negligible, we keep climbing the stairs until we hit the roof.
    • Now that we have made it to the roof, we seem to be either trapped or at least extremely inconvenienced in our escape. With a hundred zombies pounding at the roof entrance, quick thinking is of the essence. I am imagining this as a roughly twelve story apartment building. At this moment, I must admit - the rope Mike brings with him is extremely nice. After tying off the end, we scale down to a low floor, and, once the room is secured, we ensure a strong barricade is in place and camp out until morning. Once morning finally arrives, we would decide the proper course of action.
This little dramatization is the best I could come up with given the loose circumstances. To remain constantly on the move, you must never be caught with your pants down. Even in this scenario there are several other ways it could have been dealt with, but an extended stint in combat is not a viable option. Escape, Evade, Live. I also should apologize for not dispatching a large majority of the zombies, since this lessens the chance of escape. I tend to think realistically, and in this event I'd far rather Fly than Fight. When it comes down to it, we would only dispatch the zombies that happend to come into our way. Survival of the fittest.
-EvacMedic

  • So our small group has been surrounded by 100 zombies? Well, we give a quick, cursory yet semi-thurough examination of the mini horde surrounding us and locate the thinnest, weakest point in the wall of undead flesh. This could be either the thinnest row or, assuming its still a ring of single filed zombies, the loosest part of the ring. After this, which takes all of two seconds at the most, we dispatch four zombies with bullets, and then rush through the ring meleeing those on the edges of the hole we created. We keep going, finding a semi-secure looking building we can get into and barricade, not for permanence but as a stalling tactic to give us a few hours. Using this time, we realize what we can do to eliminate the rest. We work to secure all the entrances/exits that hadn't already been secured(should be none, but the time allows for multiple checks), except for one on the roof/second floor. We then set up a some incendiary devices, imrovised or weaponised, whatever we have available. The goal for these isn't a large explosion but a large fire. You see, after all is in place, we open one entrance enough to let the zombies start coming in on their own(which they will, obviously) and then book it upstairs to our one exit. We light the fire only after we see that a majority have come in. We then climb/jump down(depending on height) and run in the opposite direction of the open entrance so the zombies don't leave that way. The zombies are then (mostly) trapped in a burning building which quickly becomes an inferno of dead, charred corpses. Any few who happen to get out are quickly and easily dealt with. And of course, we watch the building burn, making sure all zombies are dealt with. This is one scenario. - McSkullcracken

My way is to create a rift in spacetime outside of my house and just watch what happens with a 12 gauge to get any stragglers-LtFielding WARNING WITH MY METHOD YOU COULD ACTUALLY ENDING UP STARTING THE OUTBREAK!

killerZtime

I would have to say i would start out but building a barracade in a bottle neck shape it would have to be about 10 foot or so hi then I would put a snipper an a heavy weapon person on each side followed by a large gate in the middle of the bottle neck.Next u get alot of chickins an what not put them in a cage about 50 yards out this way the zombies would be attracted to the birds load cluckin but they would not be able to eat them hints there ina cage. Then i would just pick them off one by one go out with a shety make sure there all dead get the chicks an stuff back.

Retreat to a rural setting. An old farm house or villiage inn made of stone preferably over 200years old. If it has lasted that long the zombies can't do squat. Scout surrounding area for large farm equipment and then enjoy. I have an incredible desire to see what a combine harvester would end up doing. Failing this a modernplough with its blades above the surface would probably be just as fun. As a personal melee weapon I'm sure I could find an old scythe.
- Daniel Armour, UK

Jukiness:
Were I out and about where I could be surrounded by zombies, then I'd already BE prepared. I'm guessing i'd use homemade Napalm, spread all across the ground under the zombies, and gobs of it hurled at zombies by my cohorts. Any other nicely burning objects would be added as well; things like couches, logs, tables etc. Anything to keep zombies around, and keep them burning. This could easily be lit from any side, especially with a flare gun. This would of course not take place within shuffling distance of anything vital to our survival.

Bundy747: Given the situation I have planned for I have a group of close nit friends (about 10 to 15) in a fortified structure such as a Meijer, Wal-Mart, or Cosco. The mob is closing in on our location and it needs to be cleared out…why? Because my scout teams randomly conduct patrols outside the confines of the fortified structure and this obviously can not be done safely with a large mob surrounding our location.

*note all activities will be conducted via handheld walkie talkie style radios*

Commander
The commander will be on the roof with binoculars to help coordinate the attack

Snipers
2 to 3 Snipers will be placed on the roof for easy pickings. They will take a couple of propane tanks with flares strapped to them and throw them into the mob. Once shot the flares will ignite and the explosion will dismember any close zombies and knock the surrounding ones to the ground. Much like in the remake of Dawn Of the Dead. This will help clear the way for the assault team

Assault Team
-The assault team will consist of 2-4man groups conducting a search and destroy type mission. Armed with AR15 .223 Rifles. The assault team will move together in a quad style formation so no one’s back is left unprotected.

Support
The support team will consist of 2 men to be placed on the roof with the commander and the snipers. They will be equipped with Heavy machine guns such as the German MG42. The support team’s job is to clear any zombies approaching the area that the assault team isn’t already engaging.

Defense
-The defense team will consist of 2 to 3 mean armed with submachine guns. Their job is to stay in the building on the main floor at the front entrance. The have two jobs, take out any zombie that may get past the assault team and try to enter the structure, also they are to take out any assault team member that gets bitten and immediately seal off the entrance should the assault team fail in their mission

Clean up
-Once the mob is eradicated all members are to suit up in hazmat gear, gather, and burn all zombie carcasses. There will be no accidental contamination on my team!

Well, if I were surrounded by 100 zombies. I doubt I would have a weapon that is able to kill them all or just half of them before they close in and eat me... :S What I would do, is probably, if prepared, have something like a flare or a molotov, not to kill, but to blind them / distract them, maybe only for a few seconds, but it will give me a chance to just dive into the zombie group and madly run through them, beating/slicing those who are very close. And with great speed and a HUGE amount of luck, I could escape them. Well, hopefully I won't be surrounded by 100 zombies, cause my chances are slim :-(
If I was surrounded by zombies I would use my ninja super fast skills and judo chop of their heads. Screw all these fancy weapons my fists are the best weapon unless the zombie has a shotgun, then I would use a nuke and blow them all up. KylerD

If I were to be facing 100 zombies as I am now, I would be screwed. But lets imagine its a few years from now. I'd be in my apartment on the outskirts of the city. When I hear about a 100 zombie horde comming for me and my friends, we would get ready. God only saves the prepared. Both of my best friends are weapons fanatics. One has a 9mm semi-automatic handgun with 13 round clips (that just seems unlucky), the other is an avid hunter and has a decent compund bow and a very good .22 hunting rife because he goes hunting with his dad. I have access to all the blades I need. We would camp out on the second floor, with the first floor barricaded, and throw stuff / break stuff / shout until they were comming for us. Now we take our shots carefully. Geordie is amazing with a gun and I've seen him replicate the "mad minute" (30 shots, aimed, at 300 yds, in one minute). Sean not so much, but thats why he has the handgunand a sword which he takes classes with. He's weird like that. I would be using the bow. Fill alluminum arrows with the plack powder I make :), put a ball bearing on top, and put on percussion caps which I use for fireworks. Now they explode with about 440 lbs of force which enough to destroy the human skull. Its rock time. Now we sit and shoot. Im guessing between us, we could take down / incapassitate over half from 200 yards. The rest we pour alcohol, which we have a lot of, on them and watch them burn. Or let Sean out with his 4' 2" Katana and he will give 'em hell.

-Murgoth

I would... Get a lot of hard alcohol/napalm and matches and wait on the roof, pouring and lighting once I have a large enough mob, and then pick off stragglers with a .22 rifle.

I would have my team armed with a Famas, remington 870, a marlin .45, Remington 700, and Remington Model 7, plus their prefered sidearms.
We would all have mechets, boot knives, and two will have katanas.
We would start outside of the complex- about 50 feet -and start taking shots as they come in, and the closer they get the closer we step to the complex, after we are up against the gate we would switch to our sidearms and knives after finishing off our current magazines- except for the 870 who would continue to take range shots. as soon as they are close enough we would charge the zeds. After we lose to guys or the zeds are gone we would return inside and continue sniping from the roof.I would also have a sniper team pick them off at a quick, but steady rate.

I figure -with 10 snipers puting out ten rounds a minute each, and my team puting out about 10 to 20 rounds each- that at range i can take off a hundred and fifty in the first minute, so close combat is unlikely but if the horde continues and my team is pushed agianst the wall my team can probably take 20 to 1, and the snipers would continue shooting until we have retreated into the complex and killed those that have entered with us. this should mean we would have killed about 400 zeds.

- Robert Nevarez ( La Verne, CA, U.S.A. )

i would shoot them in the heads(woot! expert in the NRA)until i ran out of ammo, then i would use a metal baseball bat(solid core because if you've ever actually beat someone with a hollow aluminum one you know that they bend easy)in my left hand to beat at zombies, makes good for keeping them off balance and/or back and use a trench spike in my right because it is the perfect weapon for close range mass fighting, no need to swing so you just stab and they almost never bend or break DustinEchos104

If i had to deal with a zombie mob i would dress up as a steak and put steak sauce on me =) - jieweiwong

Okay so if I ran into a zombie horde I would probably be in a convoy or out on patrol. If that were the case I would be in my M1114 HMMWV. Being the gun truck in my convoy we would have a M2 .50 BMG, wich we would use to knock down the undead whith the aid of three M4A1s, M67s and maybe AT4s. When 99% of the decaying bastards were on the ground split in half we then would either do a walk through finishing off the mess or we'd toss a couple Willie Petes in the mass and pull back and watch em burn. Maybe we'd do both. Springatron

If I hade to fight 100 zombies, I would pick up a chinsaw, two D.Eagles, an uzi, a machete, some pikes, a crossbow and a sniper rifle. I wood have a trap prepared. A hell of a lot gasoline and burn the dead mother fuckers. I would be hiding in a old fortres, so I could stand on the wall and fire on them from there whit my crossbow and sniper rifle. When they got too close I would set up som pikes and shoot them with my D.Eagles first, then use my uzi. Next it wood be CHIANSAW TIME and when it ran out of gas I would use my machete.
twinsword

400 - 50 metres: M4 Carbine them. 50-20 metres: ANFO BOMBS!!! Then Machete or Prybar the surviving zombies. If there are any.

Residentmagnum

weapons 30/30 holds 5 rounds this could snipe a few. for 100 zombies I might be able to kill 50 or more I noramlly don't miss.

Now when the get a little closer a 1911 with 7 bullets and 1 in the chamber and maybe 5 clips with 7 rounds in each. normally don't load that many but chances are each clip will only be used once and never agian.35+8=43 if they all hit and chances are they won't 25-43 dead zombies.

Best guess 25 or so are still standing. they are a lot closer infact damn I was just bitten by a zombie the grenade vest from the movie the Professional should take out the rest.

Or on a happier note I was wearing a breast plate, a chain mel armor a sword and sheild along with a strong helmet like mastercheif so no zombie blood gets in my eyes as I hack and slash until I'm the last man standing.

The only thing in my mind which can take down a mob on 100 zombies quickly but very loudly is an Sten mrk2 with acouple of hunting knifes and a longsword thrown in for style and a melee measure. Also a frag "pine apple" grenade would be highly usful. Since a incidinary grenade wouldn't have much effect on a undead person

---------------------------

If I'm trapped in a two story building, I would destory the stairs and wait until I thought a majority of the Zeds have entered the house. After that, simply start a fire. Preferably near one of the interior support beams.

Before starting the fire though, find a good way out. Possibly use some rope to get down, or depending on the area jump from the second story over the neighboring fence (Possible only in suburbs where houses are close togeather). Clear zed's out in the other yard with main weapon, and the next yard after that.

Once the way is found, and the area is cleared light the place on fire. Preferably as I said before near a support beam so that the house will fall ontop of itself, crushing and pinning Zeds. Maybe even weaken the beam before hand with a melee weapon. Make way through to the furthest backyard you cleared, exit then and maintain a fast paced walk, or secure another building to hold up in (Always two story, always).

You'll be on your way, with only a few zed's in your way, since the moaning of the huge Horde probably attracted all of them for a few miles.

Note: The fire will attract more zombies, and possibly even other survivors.

Well, first off I'd start in my house. Stand at the door with my .22 Cal 9 shot H&R revolver. After they finally get up the hill and the steps I'd, for all you D&D players out there, pull out my +5 Keen Flaming Vorpal Long sword and start critin' heads. After that I'd jump on my elemental powered blimp and run off with Lady Karastine. Pwn'd ~ Zellgin

Akenokuro- Get to the roof, have plenty of food and water, some music, a sniper rifle with loads of ammuniton, and some molotov cocktails, start with some fire if you can catch them far off, then start sniping away, and finish with some flames for the clean up.

Ok, my plan is not realistic in the least bit but the rules say I dont have to justify my method. When they get to my base I will send out my killbot! The killbot will destroyulate them all and I can eat my breakfast knowing that the world a safer place. In a realistic situation, I would probably just light my base on fire after locking them up in there and run away and pray I can find annother base. -GrantHatman
