Is your plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere?
It's dependent upon my hometown, and very much specific to it since Shanghai is such a huge and populated city -- you've got to be able to move the fuck out of heavily populated areas.

Will you be staying in your home or headed somewhere else?
I've got to head somewhere else. I live in a part of the city with a high concentration of people, and on the first floor of my apartment building...Not too safe. I plan on heading over to my school, which, courtesy of some North Koreans seeking refugee there a few years back, has been reinforced with high iron/metal fences and gates. It looks sort of like a prison, but hey, it works, and people can't climb over it. The school itself is a bit removed from the city proper; it's in a less developed area of Shanghai, which means less people. It does, however, have a nice gym with only four entrances (two in front and two in back) and bathrooms, in case running water is still an option. If not, the school has plenty of water coolers, and we have a cafeteria on campus. Gym equipment can be used to barricade the entrances and as crude weapons in a pinch; upon a recent survey, I found some awesome weight thingies that could be used to bash some zombie heads in. There's a shed of gardening tools and such on campus as well, which means shovels and rakes and everything.

If you're heading out, how do you plan to get there?
Living on the first floor of my building, I have easy access into the basement, where I've got a car that can carry 7 people, including the driver, comfortably, but many more if need be. Getting to the school itself will take some time, which does carry risks, but once we're there, we're good to go.

Got anyone you want to take with you?
My parents, definitely. My grandparents and uncle would have to come, too. This is a fairly easy plan to communicate, so it'd be easy to organize a rendezvous with friends at the school. I would want to limit it though; too many people means too many potential problems and food shortages. We don't need a repeat of Stupid Dog Girl from DotD.

How will you communicate with the outside world, or do you plan to go the hermit route?
Hermit route, probably. At most we could put a huge "HELP" sign on the roof of the gym. If the internet works, then great! *Whoa, here's to hoping the Great Firewall of China doesn't get all up my ass again.*

How are you planning to get food and water?
If the infection is not focused near my neighborhood, I'd go and raid the minimarts and markets for supplies, stocking up on canned foods, water, etc. I'll also be picking up all the glass bottles, gasoline, motor oil, and sugar -- alcohol and molotov cocktails, hurrah! Water is available on campus in ample supply, and we do have a cafeteria. When food runs out, there is a small supermarket across the street with plenty of perishables, etc. where we can conduct periodic raids. There are numerous small local food places that might not be very clean, but still are stocked. Starbucks is also down the street :]

What's your weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that?
Weapons will be... a problem. Most everybody here has golf clubs since pretty much all the expat fathers golf. There are kitchen knives. Molotov cocktails won't be a problem. Once we're in the school, we've got easy access to gardening tools, gym equipment, massive paper cutters that we can dismantle, chemicals...

Got a survival philosophy?
Self-preservation is key; don't take pity on the people screaming and crying at the door because as we all know, that shit just attracts more zombies and sabotages the entire group's chance of survival. Other than that, outlive the bastards and wait for them to starve (and when you get bored, throw some cocktails down). It's like a siege - you just have to outlast them :]

Are you willing to hook up with other survivors?
Yes, but I won't be willing to go out on a limb to save other people if there's a high risk of zombies breaching the school walls. Sorry, guys.

Is your plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist we may have heard of?

Not really.
