So we all know what knife from SOG you want and that you want to carry that good 'ol Remington 870 Security through the undead trenches, but if you could have one piece of fictional hardware whilst fighting the undead baddies, what would it be? Remember it must be a piece of equipment; firearm, armor, melee weapon, comms gear or what have you. No vehicles, no magic, no Force, etc...
As a general rule, these are the things to avoid IRL like skin jobs; Either they don’t exist at all, or are of absolute questionable value. But they are fun.
Melee Weapons:

Predator Wrist Blades : I know that there are blades like these for real, but Predators don't break. All you would have to do is punch a zombie in the face, and these would penetrate right into it brain.

Predator Smart Disc: throw this bad boy into a horde of zombies and watch the heads fly.

Buster Blade: ridiculously huge but could slice up a giant dragon thing (advent children) I'm sure it would be able to slice up a few zombies too

Blades of Chaos: With these, you could pull of all kinds of moves, just like Kratos. And if you can kill a Cyclops or Hydra with them, you can kill some zombies.

Think about it. Let it sink in. Oh, the possibilities. 50 zombies. 10 zombies per swing. Probably somewhere about 50 swings in a fully charged hammer. The disadvantage though is that you can't really carry it around too easily. I mean, I doubt you have a giant electromagnetic armor or backpack to carry it with.
Firearms:
This gun would look like a supersoaker on steroids, but still light because of the plastic it is made out of. The liquid it shoots out in a narrow beam expands to over 50x it's original liquid size once it makes contact with a surface. Under pressure and concentrated, the substance is dormant, but once unpressurized (when shot), the substance becomes active and will expand violently once mixed with the air. After 10 seconds or so the foam hardens to the point where it can stop most small arms fire.
The applications of this weapon range from rooting zombies to the ground to sealing a doorway to building a shelter using a layering technique.
The science from this weapon could also be used to make paintball type bullets that would expand on impact. If someone has a gun, shoot his hand an the foam will be blocking the trigger so it can't be pulled in less then half a second.

Rocket Propelled Chainsaw: self-explanatory
Hammer Of Dawn : Truly the most powerful anti-zombie weapon ever devised, the Hammer of Dawn is a space based satellite that shoots down a giant laser beam which can level cities or take down single units. Let us assume that the day of reckoning has come and zombies now control the world. You are a hunter who will rid the world of the infestation and the entire population of New York City has been zombified and they are all following you down main street well just whip out the Hammer of Dawn and drag the laser over the bunch. It will kill hundreds of thousands of zombies in one long drawn out shot. since the head is the highest point of the body it is the obvious impact site of this laser and it locks on to individual targets for better accuracy, and again since it stays on for protracted periods if you miss just keep on holding the trigger until it hits properly. The only down side with this weapon is that the laser has to be over head to work so I suggest using it only on immense hordes where a long protracted battle would other wise be called for

M41A Pulse Rifle w/PN 30mm GL : A 10x24mm case-less cartridge assault rifle carried by the U.S. Colonial Marine Corps in the Aliens films. It's light weight and powerful with the 100 magazine capacity and the under barrel 30mm grenade launcher. Fire modes include single, five round burst and auto. There is a fancy digital round counter on the right hand side of the weapon. No clicks here. The M41A has the adaptability to fit most situations.
Unlike many of the weapons presented here, however, this one does ‘actually’ exist; It is an ordinary Thompson sub-machine gun combined with a Remington 870 short barrel (sawed off), both encased in a fancy cover. As such, one could be cobbled together.

Lancer Assault Rifle : The Lancer is a medium caliber assault rifle seen in the hands of the COG (Coalition of Ordered Governments) soldiers named the Gears. Accurate at short and medium ranges when burst firing is used. It is advised against using at long range do to inaccuracy. When used on full auto it is a sound suppression weapon. One of the most impressive features of the Lancer is it's under barrel chainsaw attachment. When the going gets tough rev that puppy up and go to town. Take care when slicing and dicing not to chew through an opponent into your own leg. The Lancer's chain saw rev time may be shorter than a regular chain saw's but, it is still advised to give your self a second before use is required. Overall the Lancer excels at short range engagements and is decent at medium range, but should out right be avoided at long range.

M6D PDWS Pistol: The M6D is a 12.7x40mm (.50 Magnum) auto-loading handgun with a magazine capacity of twelve rounds and a 2x scope. The most common ammunition used in the M6D is SAPHE (Semi Armor Piercing High Explosive) rounds. They work well against both the armored and unarmored foe, although the unarmored foe has a distinct disadvantage. The M6D should be able to damage brains or decapitate zombie heads with any shot landed shoulder level and up. This should be able to be accomplished by decent shot up to and around 100 meters, with the help of the 2x Smart Link scope.. This is an amazing range for any handgun. Again ammo for this particular piece of artillery is found in the UNSC. Once again discretion is advised, shooting a survivor most certainly means loss of limb or instant death. High recoil, very high recoil.

Repeating Crossbow This is a crossbow on steroids that can fire multiple arrows in rapid succession, with gas propulsion, like machine guns. As a bonus, you can dip the bolts in holy water to provide a quick countermeasure against vampires, or replace the bolts with silver ones to take on werewolves. (when the world goes to hell, these may very well be a possibility)
Spardas swords....do i need to say anything else? If it can defy the power of all the demons it can certainly carve up a cranium quite well

RY3NO V4/RYNOcirator:So far,the most bad-ass weapon I've seen in the Ratchet & Clank series.Any 16 enemies in front of you will be disintegrated into nothing by the RY3NO V4 while the RYNOcirator can obliterate any enemy around you into ash.So less cleanup too.
Quantum Whip:Another fave from Ratchet & Clank.Surrounded by undead?Take this lightsaber like weapon a toss around you and they'll be in 2 pieces.
Tau pulse rifle: Highly accurate, a lot of ammo (if ever found lol), supposedly quite light and no recoil!

Armor :
Mark VII : Think about it. It increases strength, speed, and protection. It can stand up to brutes and quasi-zombies with rocket launchers, grenades, swords, plasma technology, and bullets. It can go underwater and hell, even into space. So 20 undead shouldn't be a problem, right?Think about it for a while.It'll all be clearer once you think about it.
Sauron's Armor
Sure the cape may let zombies be able to pull you into their horde. But when enveloped in a huge hunk of metal, would you really care? The mace comes in handy too!

I'm not really sure if this is a peice of armor or a melee weapon but think about it you have an arsenal of (melee)weapons at your disposal and all you have to do is wear a gaundlet also the weapons have some sort of elemental power so that can raise the zombie death rate

The Professional:Death Scythe from Gundam Wing
I know that this may seem over the top, but I cannot think of anything I would rather be inside during an outbreak. Our Gundanum armor, a huge plasma scythe and a less the shy gun armament. (The only Gundam that can boast the most firearms is Heavy Arms though). If I can't get them with the scythe, or guns I can still squash those little zeds with my foot. Its an all-in-one, vehicle, weapons, comm gear and armor. Although I may be bias since this was my favorite of the Gundams. The only thing better would be Death Scythe HELL. Twice the firepower, maneuverability and a dual-bladed scythe.

without a doubt, the fully upgraded "Hand Cannon" from Resident Evil 4, sure the gun is just a huge handgun, but fully upgraded it has infinite ammo and enough fire power to rip through a line of zombies like they're tin foil. Who wouldn't want a laser minigun with limitless ammo. it fires 166 rounds per sec. i would want this plus some stuff from Halo.

In response to The Professional...I got nothing to say but...look at those guns. Who cares about zombies? Obliterate the whole city! With this thing, you can rule the post Z-Day world. Death Scythe was my favorite as well, but really. I mean, look at those missile racks! And the thing is holding a dual mini gun thing per hand! 'Nuff said.

Sure, that nanosuit would be lovely, but how safe would you really feel? Additionally, a railgun comes standard with the Zone Trooper armor, so why not?
You also get extra muscle support (see: Command and Conquer 3 be Keith Decandido), a HUD, and you look like a freaking robot.

This is a glave but another design this is the glave from dark sector it is not just a melee weapon but part of overall super power many would like to burn zombies with their mind well after awhile that will cause a head-ake so this item can use elements around it like fire and eletricity or ice to have odd effects on zombies it can also steal items from enemies
Armour is always good so I'm going with the time suit from Timeshift the power to stop / rewind / fastforward time

Lost the keys to your M1A1? Again, problem solved. There are some very distinct drawbacks involved with the light saber. Firstly who knows how to recharge one of these things? Secondly discretion and skill are pretty much required, no body wants to "nick" themselves with a light saber or sneak up on your buddy, game over man. Lastly I don't think it has the dexterity to slice cheese.

BFG : The BFG is straight out of Doom. According to the movie, it tore a hole right through a building, so it should have no trouble tearing through some zombies. It has a likeness to a Area of Effect rocket on steroids doing meth while jump-roping a chain of midget ninjas armed with throwing stars.
