Color:

The Walther PP is the 2nd oldest handgun in my small collection, but one I dearly love.It is a small, but heavy compact handgun. It has a small single-stack magazine firing the under-rated 7.65mm cartridge. It has a manual safety lever(something I prefer over the DA/SA safeties of the Glocks and Five-Sevens) and a double action trigger, which ensures safety when carrying with a round in the chamber.

It can be fitted with an external, threaded suppressor and in combination with sub-sonic ammo, becomes incredibly quiet and low-profile.

I can get reasonable groupings of 1" at 15ms with this handgun, and it has rather heavy recoil for a small round(one of the very few negatives) but that can be negated with a good, high tang grip and stable stance.

The magazine release is a general hassle problem for people used to free-falling magazines. It pops out slightly and you have to grip the small base of the magazine and then pull it out. When putting one in,remember to palm hit the base to ensure it is in.

One of my favorite things to do,especially if I am at the range,is to manually **** the hammer back so that the round is able to be fired from a single-action pull, but the double-action feature ensures safety carrying.

Generally,it is a good firearm,and I give it a 7.5/10
