Gears101's Survival PlanThis is a featured page

got a plan? No? well, I have dedicated a portion of my life to studying zombie survival, so at the moment, i'm something of a nut. first well take at how to survive a possible first attack.

the zombie ducked down to take a bite out of my tasty human flesh. I rolled out of the way and got to my feet and then jumped off my bed. I stumbled through the dark for a moment and suddenly sensed the un-dead following me. I dove into my closet, closely followed by the zombie, but I grabbed my baseball bat and slammed its head against the wall. a spurt of blood sprayed my face, but I wiped it off and walked towards the lightswitch, and took a look around.

well there you go. I always assumed the zombie invasion would start as soon as i got myself into the dark directly after watching dawn of the dead. Irony. gotta love it. the ultimate goal of that was bassically to tell you how avoid a bite when caught off guard, but just incase you missed something, i'll break it down for you. first off, I'll tell you whats going on. I am in bed sleeping when the zombie attacks, and its constant moaning wakes me up. I wake up, roll out of the way as it attempts its first bite. now assuming these arent going to be the 28 days later steroid enduced zombies, it wouldn't be able to follow very quickly, so I stumbled through the dark and made for my baseball bat, but when I reached it, i found myself cornered, so I repainted the walls in the room with its brains. the next thing I would do would be make sure there were no more zombies in the house, barricade any possible entrances and find anything that might work as a weapon. one thing that not many people would look to for a weapon would be the screwdriver. it would make a pretty good close combat dagger, and also doubles as a tool. now seeing as i'm not leaving the house as long as I cant see outside, i'd simply hang out in my house untill morning. we have atleast two(Possibly three) Hunting rifles in our house, so I would use them as snipers to guard my house. more than likely, I would establish any contact possible with any of my freinds and invite them into my house turned fortress, and probably figure stuff out from there. you can never be to sure what exactly is going to happen, and the "first attack" was purely speculation of what might have happened. seeing as any possible gun stores such as wallie world (walmart) or the sports store would probably be either packed full of zombie forms of people that were trying to find weapons or just plain empty, i would just wait it out, and if there was a major problem fall...up, into my attic (it would be wise to stock you're attic full of supplies so if a problem like that arises, you're not going to starve to death to quickly. ultimatly, you will more than likely starve to death, but hey. who knows. if you survive long enough that millitary that would never come to Caro, Michigan just might find you. in a great situation, you wouldn't have to worry about finding good guns like M4's or something, but in reallity, no one is going to stash the "Stewie evil labratory/world domination" room. if that was the case, i'd just arm my self with a couple SPAS-12 shotguns and a few Uzi's, but like i said, realility is going to set in at one point, and you're probably going to find your self armed with a hunting rifle and mabye a hunting knife. thats about as close to SAS as you're going to get, so prepare you're self with makeshift weapons like crowbars and screwdriver, and mabye base ball bats and meat cleavers and stuff. prepare to be unprepared. in a mildly prepared manner.
