DO NOT READ. PLAN BEING RECONSTRUCTED. This is the most embarrising thing I have done here.
Part 1: Bugging In
As soon as I hear news of the upcoming zombie attack, the first thing I will do is move all my supplies upstairs, from the panic shopping I did before the panic actually started. Second, I'll destroy the stairs up to the second floor and use the wood to barricade the windows and doors. Except for the attic window leading to the roof. Finally I will fill all the baths and sinks. Now wait. If the zombies are defeated by humanity or severely hindered I shall continue my normal life. If not and a class 3 or 4 outbreak happens I will bug out.

Part 2: Bugging Out
Although I haven't decided on my BOL yet, I know it will be on a remote island which no one has ever heard of. The best candidate so far is Aruba. Do you know where that is? Exactly. The only two ways to get there are by plane and boat. I can't choose any commercial planes or boats because a) they won't go to Aruba b) someone on the plane could be infected. So boat seems to be the only way for me to get there because there is no way I will ever be capable of flying a plane. I don't know how far away it is but I'm sure there will be some boats that could go the whole journey without refuelling. To get to the nearest port (which is less than a mile away from my house) I'm going to take a modified Jeep Trailhawk. For details on that, check out the modding vehicles to the point of insanity thread.

Part 3: Digging In
My BOL on Aruba is split into three sections that all serve a different purpose.
Section 1
This is the main part of my base. It will be set up as soon as the local area has been made safe by a team of scouts. First, I'll put up two guard towers to defend against zombies. Next, housing. I have my own personal tent there are two scout tents and twenty three tents for the farmers and ranchers. Now I will set up 5- 8 farms and a couple ranches. I am yet to decide on what crops and animals will be on the farms and ranches. Now with my food resources up and running I will make a road system to lead to the nearest river, lake or ocean and to where the site of Sector 2 will be. I'll also build some more guard stations.
Overview:
  • 1 tent for me
  • 2 scout tents
  • 23 regular tents
  • 5-8 farms
  • 2 ranches
  • 5 guard stations
  • Road system

Section 2
Sector 2 is the military part of the base and will be built after year 1 of my base. It will train and house the troops who will fight off bandits and zombies alike. In the middle, the operations tent will provide Intel and will be most active when we begin Operation Zed liberty. There are two inside training areas which double as the two armories. Just outside the Operations centre are four scout tents and 14 soldier tents.
Overview:
  • 1 Operations centre
  • 4 scout tents
  • 14 soldier tents
  • 6 guard stations
  • 2 training grounds/ armories
  • Road system

Sector 3
Sector 3 will be made after year 5 of my base. It has 3 labs; one for weapon research and development, another dos the same for armour and base defense and the third one focuses on zombie research and developing a cure to Solanum (the zombie disease).
Overview:
  • 1 research centre
  • 6 scientist tents
  • 5 guard stations
  • 1 weapon lab
  • 1 armour lab
  • 1 zombie lab
  • Road system

Part 4: Living
Me and my survivors will try our hardest to rebuild humanity. Everyday, I will send out a team of 3-5 scouts to look for other survivors or zombie dens. Some people will be on guard duty, others will do farming, some will make our weapons, some will make our armour, some will bulk up our defences and everyone will have their own tasks to complete to further the goals of the humans on the Zed's planet.

Part 5: Operation Zed liberty
Operation Zed Liberty is the plan to take back Earth from the zombies. How many years we will wait before OZL is launched is not determined, but it might not happen in our lifetimes so we'll see how it goes.
Step 1- Gather a well trained, large and cohesive force who will follow my orders to the letter.
Step 2- Slowly and tactically assault the third world countries and set up similar bases to mine on them.
Step 3- Launch a flashpoint assault on second world country rural areas and set up the 3 section bases.
Step 4- Tactically comb through second world sub-urban areas then garrison the suburbs until civilisation can be reestablished in the areas.
Step 5- Assault the urban areas in second world countries.
Step 6- Assault rural areas in first world countries.
Step 7: Flashpoint assault Washington or London and comb through the city.
Step 8: Flashpoint assault London or Washington and comb through the city.
Step 9: Assault all other first world countries.

First off where are you getting this group? Your initial group is around 26 people (I'm going off the number of tents mentioned), will they follow your command? It's doubtful you'll find a cohesive fighting force that will obey someone beyond their own group so recruiting others will be difficult. What skills do they have? You're assuming a lot for that matter. Then training the "troops" are you in or have been in the military? Your plan doesn't mention any walls or trenches or anything beyond a few towers. Manned towers aren't the best idea, they give you a heads up if zeds are coming but that man can be asleep, drunk, or just not even there. What weapons will you have? Also, you're expecting to sweep through major population centers with a team of roughly 35 people? Even if you wait a lifetime the zombies will be gone (hopefully) and people will already be reclaiming those lands. 3 to 5 scouts won't tell you anything about a massive city, maybe a small town or island but not much beyond that. What if the zombies kill that scout team? Your resources seem so low that replacing people would be borderline impossible. There won't be "zombie dens", they will be spread out everywhere. Enclaves of survivors might not work with you, they might even be hostile, they may have bigger guns and better training. With the whole "assaulting third world countries" deal, all I can say is good luck with that, the locals if any survive won't understand you and probably try to kill you. To keep setting up all these bases you'll need massive amounts of people. My best advice, re-do this plan entirely. Focus on one little area, screw reclaiming the entire world that will happen on its own.

Personally if you came to my place during the zedpoc you'd have to promise a lot of things to get me and my team to work for you.

All in all, when the zombies come good luck.

I see many flaws. Do you know the mathematics to build your 'Gaurd towers' or have the right sailing/boating skills to get to Aruba?.
Also im moving straight to plan 5.
I can only see step one working. If that...You said 26 people in your bol, do you knwo these 26 people well? What if only 5 of them survive the enitial plan to GET to the boat, to go to Aruba. I mean, like TyrantKing said, are you well trained, are they? Will there be mutiny? I suggest your whole plan get redone. I know me and my friends wouldnt follow under this plan, and I've had sort of military training with Army cadets for 5 years. Redo, and think of staying on your continent. Or island. Unless you have the skill.

qazlp10 Do you realize hat Aruba is a country? 1 Dec 9 2010, 2:47 PM EST by GhostPride

I mean come on, why do you think they would even let you in? Especailly since you're coming from the land of infection.

Do you have your passport? Sounds like a quick way to go to prison in the middle of the ocean.

Do you think the government is just going to let you build a fort there? You're going to have some very pissed off police at your door.

Do you realize Aruba's off the coast of South America? That's a LONG way to go man. Hope you have enough skills and supplies.

Here's a link to wiki(for quick semi-reliable info) and Aruba's tourist site
