1) Fire harden the "stick" I leave the bark on for this. It minimizes the loss from charring. The char isn't what makes it hard, it's the super fast drying. I usually just drop it in dying embers. When the bark is burned off, and the wood beneath is no longer glossy, you can take it out.

Scrape off the charred bits, and I use a knife to run down it, and shape the taper a bit more, now I also dig out the fat end of the limb into a bit of a cradle for the big rock. It doesn't have to be perfect, just allow it to sit down into the stick a bit.

2) Using the rawhide strips; attach the rock to your new handle. you want it to be as tight as you can get it, and keep your knots on the underside of the rock.

3) Take your rawhide patch and punch holes in 2 sides of it (left/right, or top/bottom); then soak it for a few hours. This will make it supple. Stretch the rawhide around the rock, and the handle. The "ends" of the rock should show through, you may need to trim a bit to get the rawhide around it cleanly. Using rawhide strip; weave it through the holes to close it.

4) Let it dry in direct sunlight. This will shrink the leather (a lot more than you would think) and effectively make the rock a part of the handle. If it's not tight enough, re-soak it, and allow it to dry again. It will continue shrinking, trust me.

5) Decorate it however you wish, and protect it. Traditionally they rubbed deer brains into the wood repeatedly until it had a deep sheen, then rubbed it with a smooth flat stone until the oily residue was gone, leaving behind a super smooth, glossy finish. Now we have less... messy... methods, enjoy.

"Some "heavy" weapons, like the 40mms aren't really that heavy. Every squad will have an M203. Every few humvees will generally have an M2 or a Mk19. If you expect to find any military assets in general, those weapons would not be a big surprise to run across.

As for the rockets, it's importantly knowing what *NOT* to do with them as well as knowing how to use them. I'll be honest. This type of page doesn't tell you anything about tactics.

It doesn't tell you that RPG-7 rockets drift cross-wind at range, that they can be bypassed by some types of fence. Or that they have smaller backblast than most rockets, allowing easier firing from within buildings. Nor does it state minimum arming range of fifty meters, the max realistic range of one hundred meters accurately against the typical armored vehicle.

Don't kid yourself. You're not a military tactician. You're not qualified to make strategies to take down rocket-propelled grenades. The only thing this will do is show you how to *fire* one given you're in a situation bad enough to need it."

RPGs will turn into the wind.
John 234 has a good point.
Small National Armies & guerillas use RPGs as light artillery or bunker/house busting.
Mesh style fencing (IE chicken wire or chain link) can be used as a anti-RPG barrier. The rockets get caught in the mesh.
The back blast on most RPG style weapons will kill or seriously injure anyone standing behind the firer. And the blast with smoke trail is a dead give away.
