im not sure if you know this or not but i noticed that some of the elements in this are similar to the otaku in japan from wolrd war Z. not saying anyhting bad about this just mentioning that it seems some what similar. like for example, the scaling down the building and being the geek who knows alot and the one point where he misses a jump.

Its a pretty good read. You might want to add the names of the people speaking. It gets a little confusing to read at that point. The character also seems a little detached, however, it might just be a part of his nature. I can't wait to see how you develop this character. I also look forward to seeing how someone who seems to be buried in books, confronts the horrific reality of a zombie outbreak.
