IBrow's Survival Plan
BUGGING OUT
Hopefully be livin there. if not, lookin to get a Ford E350 with extended body vans and modded with four wheel drive and offroad wheels
DIGGING IN
This all in hopes that I buy the house we want but the changes are simple.
THE HOUSE
the home has three levels. a sunken 1st floor, the main level and an upstairs. Kitchen is by the front door that is a nook and the sides and back are protected by a 6' privacy wall. Mods will remove bars from bottom front windows and put on the 2nd floor windows. Sunken floor and kitchen windows will be filled in with brick and mortar. not a fan of daylight anyhow. The 6x6 nook outside the front door will be sectioned off by a security fence and gate that extends to the rafter so nothing can climb over while the front door will be replaced by a reinforced steel door with three dead bolts. one at top, one at knob level and one at the bottom. The security gate will have a knob and a deadbolt that will be left unlock given zombies can't use door knobs. This will allow outsiders to enter and secure themselves safely without being let into the house until negotiated. It will aswell have a slot where outsiders will disarm and send their weapons inside before being allowed in. the 6' Privacy fence will be extended to a full 10' as the city will not allow beyond that (extended as will allow when SHTF. This will allow use of the backyard without threat of invasion while on the day SHTF, a clear tarp will be posted up to cover and secure the yard to allow light in but keep birds and such out of yard to lessen risk of infection through animals scavenging corpses; doubles in rainwater collection. The front wooden gate will be replaced by wall and the rear gate will be replaced by reinforced steel door with deadbolt and that bar on the hooks across the door type locks. Inside the garage, hoping an escape transport will be secured, half of the two car garage will be fitted with a large water tank connected with a rainwater filter system to provide the household with fresh clean water
THE POOL
the sand from the filter will be removed and used in a rainwater filter while the pool filter will be filled with bioballs with gallons adequate amounts of dechlor will be added to the water. Once this is done, Barrels and large rocks will be added before being filled with spawning catfish. This will provide one source of food. In turn with this, several barrels will be deddicated to breeding earth worms by filling them with worms and dirt, using scrap foliage and food to feed the worms that will be used to feed the fish. Guppies and live beares will also be added to the pool to see if they survive as a secondary food for the catfish.
THE HUTCHES
the side of the house will be set 10 Hutches to house 5 bucks and 5 does for breeding while ten pens will be kept for their offspring, keeping each pair mated documented and offspring separated by lineage. This will allow future pairing of offspring to breed when breeding pairs become infertile without the risk of incestious genetic mutations. It will be noted that each breeding pair keeps two pens for male offspring and then female offspring. Another portion of the side yard will be dedicated to alphalfa and timothy hay growing to feed rabbits. Rabbits will provide the family's primary meat source
THE GARDEN
The remainder of the yard was to be dedicated to growing Radishes, Tomatoes, Bush zucchini, salad greens, Jalapenos and red onions. However, through practice crops and more focus on nutritional info, to counter the likelihood of protein poisoning, the crops grown will be: Corn, Bush Zucchini, Tomatoes, Avacado, Alfalpha and Spinach. At first, do to AZ's low quality soil, the garden will be tilled with gardening soil from lowes. Afterwards, droppings left by the rabbits will provide top quality fertilizer. Rabbit pellets provide the most nutrients to the soil and do not require being composted prior to use. Vegetables will be used to feed the family as well as rabbits. Scraps ground and fed to worms.
DAILY LIVING
Keep busy tending to farmed goods, fish breedin, gun keepin and child rearin.

"he was talking about breeding deer " well under normal circumstances, i doubt it. However, some people got stakes in, certain species' breeding and all. Like how some people breed ostriches or llamas... i think the llama breeding would be better than deer though...
