Bullet proof glass oh god . I used to work for a company called TCG international, they make glass, and used to stock bullet proof glass and three things make me laugh whenever anyone mentions it.

1) the glass is bullet resistant not bullet proof. Even repeated hits from a handgun at point blank range will eventually get through.

2) it gets it's resistance from breaking, taking energy from the bullet in flight. This breaking makes it impossible to see out of hit glass, a raider takes few pot shots and your blind.

3) the stuff is thick and heavy as hell, most automotive frames cannot handle it and welding steel on will not change that. Look at the windows of a brinks truck and note how thick they are. Most vehicles the glass is part of the structure of the vehicle.

A side note when packing it we had to be careful not to damage the sides because it would render the glass opaque. If you want something a little more durrable then glass use lexan, it's not bullet resistant but it will take one hell of a physical beating. Hockey boards are made of Lexan.

Helicopters are balanced machiens start tacking things on willy nilly such as scrap metal and it would spind out of the sky and crash. Replace the windsheild, with glass .... it will shatter and you will die. The plastic (usually lexan on newer ones a form of acrylic on older ones) on a helicopter is already impact resistant. If you go tacking on the weight of a slab of bullet proof glass your helicopter will start to go up the nose will tilt down and it will flip over and it will go down rotor first and you will be pureed. Most civilian helicopters, excluding medivac ones, are made of fiberglass, so modification would be just silly, you'd have to replace most of the helicopter to modify it and then it wouldn't fly.

So aside from being on a fixed track, you'll have to build up to see any where decent which just makes a bigger target, not to mention if you go through a tunnel...

Pressure washer. (If you have diesel you should have a little gas.) One hit to the head with those heavy blades (even spinning backwards) is a cracked skull. Not familiar with the cutter , but I've cleaned and greased a bushhog for a tractor that size many times.

The construction company in my town has one large tractor like that, and several excavators and dozers. I'd prefer the closed in excavator if I could get my hands on one.

Now, I've had word from a professional who's in the business (cousin's sailing mate, headhunted to Germany) that carbon fibre is NOT for stopping bullets. Aramid fibres are.

Carbon fibre has tensile strength (eg. A rope of carbon fibres would be very strong), whereas Aramid fibre has impact strength (bullets, possibly teeth). One brand of Aramid Fibre sheeting is called Kevlar.

Not nessesarily; It's also SHARP, so when it's moving at hight speed, it's basically a whipsaw.

"The way I've made them is first took a cast off an old key with plaster of paris. Then I mixed the thermite powder (its made simply of rust and aluminum) with an epoxy, and filled the mold with the epoxy. Before the epoxy cured fully, I put in a strip of magnesium (shaved off a VW engine block) to act as my fuse. Once fully cured, peel the "key" from the mold and there ya go. To use, insert the key in the lock, light the magnesium with a lighter... done. "

great work stryker, I use nitrolene from ping pong balls desolved in acetone for my plastic compound and I mold em into credit cards that way I can cook either a lock or a hinge if I have to
