Anybody in the area has heard of I-57 if you really live in the area. If you want shelter, be well armed and bring any supplies you can carry. Follow the signs on 57 to a town called Marion. You'll know when you find it because its pretty big and has a baseball stadium where the Miners play. You've heard of it if you live in the area. When you get there head south for about 20 miles. You'll know when you see our shelter. They'll be a burned off area of forest and a huge earthen platform where they have a truck repair place. Its all there already if you don't believe me. All except the burned forest part because I'll do that after it all starts. Its near a small town so we won't have that many zombies running around and plus its about 3 miles out of town. Its a good spot to hold up for awhile. Its not big enough to house that many people but the big platform can have barracks built on it if need be. Will except anyone who can aid the cause.

This is a large semi-rural area in Cook and Will County, IL. it is mostly rural with plenty of long spanning wide open spaces, but it also has plenty of resources such as grain, sporting stores for things such as weapons, equipment. plenty of places for food and most of it's roads aren't dense with traffic so it's easy to escape if you're overrun.
point one(regroup): there is a large grain tower near the center of town which is very tall. has basically one entrance and is close to impossible to scale even for humans. what's great about this place is you can get a view a pretty much anything around for miles which makes it ideal for sniping and can be very effective with a large group of armed survivors you also have a large amount of food that can last you a very long time with the right group of people to maintain the facility. there are no windows on any level of the building except for at the very top. there are electric chain link fences all around the factory and tower which is a great zombie repellent. point two: (evac) there are a large amount of side roads which barely anyone travels down most of them leading directly out of the state. any road leading south or west will suffice for evac. although north and east aren't recommended as they lead to heavily populated areas such as the suburbs or the city of Chicago. |
