The Tec 9 is quite a large pistol.(Original Text by Cyrano)
The Intratec Tec-DC9 is a blowback operated pistol in 9mm. I have obtained one and am going to give it a through workout to evaluate its weakness and strengths.

Upon first inspection the weapon fits quite conformable in the hand good ergonomics.
The grip frame is polymer held to the upper firing unit by a drift pin.The upper firing unit is a large metal cylinder the bolt reciprocates within in this cylinder. The barrel is about three inches.
The barrel and cocking lever.
The bolt charging handle is on about the 11 o'clock position on the cylinder holding the weapon straight up. The charging handle is also the safety mechanism, push in for safe and pull out for fire, that is the only safety feature on this weapon. The Mag release is forward of the trigger guard, push forward to remove the magazine (it does not drop free has to be manually removed). The trigger is stiff and kind of poor in my opinion, it is not conducive to a good grip and firing hold on target.

It has a 30 round magazine, the mag is a unique trapezoidal shape, that is not interchangeable with any mag I have encountered. The top of the magazine.

Once at the range I found the weapon shot decent I kept all the rounds
on a standard piece of notebook paper at 30 feet. It was not outstanding but would put steel on target. The recoil was quite manageable due to the size and weight of the weapon. The sights are acceptable, a rear U and a forward "post" that was just a welded piece of sheet metal. The charging handle took a little getting used to firing left handed, you have to reach over the weapon to articulate it. The sling mount is on the left side it can be used to help with carrying and firing, I would prefer it to The sights and sling mount of the Tec 9.be fully at the rear, but that is my personal choice.

In my view this weapon is not worth the money, it tries to mimic a rifle and get the attributes of a pistol. I find it has the worst characteristics of both. The only advantage I see is the 30 round mag. Use the money to buy a quality sidearm, you will be better off.
