Hey everyone,
I'm sure you're all as excited as we are about the Dublin Zombie Walk and you're all getting ready for the moaning, shuffling hordes coming your way! Just to tell you all thank you so much because currently on the Facebook group we have over 3,000 members and on the Facebook event we have 2,829 attending and rising everyday! Not bragging, just saying! Walk Details: The walk will start at 2pm. Everyone will be gathering in St. Stephens Green and leave through the Leeson Street entrance with the walk ending in Temple bar at the Button Factory. There will be lots of makeup artists there so don't worry if you can't get zombified at home. Since this is a charity event in aid of the Irish Cancer Society & The RNLI there will be a limited supply of makeup so make sure to come early. We will also have a number of Stewards on the walk. This would be the perfect role for all the Zombie Survivalists on here! If you'd like to assume the role of steward feel free to mail us on info@Dulinzombiewalk.com. Button Factory after Party: We'll also be having a massive after party in the Button Factory. Lots of great acts lined up for the night. Major Irish band lined up and we'll be announcing the details soon! The Sedition Girls with be performing a series of extra special gorelesque shows for us on the night. Lots of blood, lots of shocks and lots of looking through your hands! Contact Jugglers, Fire breathers, close up magicians, stilt walkers and more! Dublin Zombie Walk T-shirts and Badges with our very own Rianne Rowlands logo http://riannerowlands.com/ Thank you all again and see you on the 23rd of July at the worlds largest ever zombie walk! DZW Team

Alright lads, just posted this up so you lot can poke holes in it.
Yes, I know that rage zombies would make it a bitch, but it's doable. If you're ever in Ireland and Z-Day comes, you know where to go now at least. |

The Barracks which you have listed in the Dun Laoghaire Harbour area is nothing more than a recruitment centre & has no military capabilities at all. By that I mean, there are no military weaponry or equipment stored there. Likewise because it is simply a reserve office for recruitment in the immediate area it is not intended for use as a defended position so it has no fences, metal doors etc.
Likewise in the Barracks in Rathmines, there is absolutly no chance of a bunch of unarmed civilians carrying crowbars breaking in to the weapon storage areas. The rifles & machine guns you've mentioned above will either be in cages, behind heavy metal doors or out with the soldiers on duty, who may or may not be infected. Thus the main chance of getting weapons are from already infected soldiers in the city centre area, who have left them behind. In relation to vehicles I would recommend large lorries, either the military troop carrying ones or the ones used to carry gravel etc. There is an abundance of these in Dublin & the surrounding areas. Because they are high off the ground & have large wheels they should be useful for driving through large crowds of infected & have an ample amount of space for storage of supplies & survivors. In general I'd be against going to Dublin port because it is so close to the city centre, DunLaoghaire is in a less populated area, so might be a safer option. Just a few ideas! Other than that I did enjoy the general plan you've laid out :] -Chris
