Zed is everywhere, and I mean everywhere.
Will you be staying in your home or headed somewhere else?
Staying home for about 2 months. Waiting until roads aren't crowded or until US gov has things getting under control
House plan:
Outside perimeter will be warning signs. It will read something to the extent of "Unanticipated crossers of the fence will be shot. If you wish to make contact, turn on the radio attached to sign and announce yourself." Another will read "Many traps inside perimeter and house, do not try to cross unguided" A photoelectric duel beam perimeter will be secured around the house to alert us of any unwanted intrusions. Inside the perimeter will be an assortment of Vietnam style traps, hanging fish hooks, trip wire traps, and some blatantly obvious traps as a warning.
To avoid bandits from raiding the house, I will fly a remote controlled helicopter with a wireless camera to check out the person, and if they brought along any friends that are hiding.
Inside the house there will be many things in case Zed gets inside. We will have wire running across hallways where you can duck below and catch Zed by surprise. There will also be sliding barriers behind some doors to create a blockade.
If you're heading out, how do you plan to get there?
Dad's F-350 with 2 250F dirt bikes and bicycles in the back.
Got anyone you want to take with you?
Anyone who is willing to contribute to the group
How will you communicate with the outside world, or do you plan to go the hermit route?
Take a radio out of a truck, Morris code with mirrors+lights.
How are you planning to get food and water?
Filling up Rubbermaid storage containers with water, storing inside in a dark room. Use pump water filter when drinking the water. Food is going to be rice, and solar oven with plenty of nutrient supplements and occasional canned vegetables (have to conserve nutrients).
What's your weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that?
My: Bushmaster M4 with 2 20 round clips and a 30, .22 rifle with 5 10 round clips, 12g shotgun 6 round capacity, spears, and lots of traps.
Got a survival philosophy?
Keep supplied, stay quite, nobody do anything irrational. Also raid the library of puzzle books, encyclopedias, and other interesting reading material.
Are you willing to hook up with other survivors?
If they are hot, more of looking for a relationship in the time of chaos though.
Is your plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist we may have heard of?
