Part 1: Bugging In
current home: two stories two bath, three room.
First I would supply the upstairs with as much as possible, i.e. canned foods, clothes, chairs, rice, and tools.
second: destroy stairs, that includes the stairs to the deck and the ones that lead to the upstairs (obviously)
cover windows with blankets if no blinds are in place. and fill bath tub sinks and buckets with water.
Third remain quiet and watch local news for info, communicate by land line and cellphone if they are still up and running.
Part 2: Bugging Out
my deck is about four feet off the ground so if no zombies where there we could jump off that. If not use crow bar,pick axe and other tools to eliminate zombies as we get to the neighbors, the distance is about 70 feet or so.
At neighbors get more supplies and bug out to ridgefeild to get friend Logan who can supply us with extra vehicle/ horse and fire arms and ammunition after this we would head to skamainia county cabin, stay for a few months even up to a year. After this we would take stock of what we have and head to wallowa lake where there are deer,fish, and other game, there are also many cabins along the way to get firewood and food from, time spent here could be indefinite do to terrain, gas and another of other factors, if we leave this location we would head to bend oregon, to raid/trade with survivors, after this we would head to Caledonia Wisconsin which is near Racine Wisconsin.
Part 3: Digging In
The farm that will be the BO (base of operations) is relatively secluded and has a corn field across the road that could be used, also large forest on property that has wildlife in it most notably deer. there is a pond that has large fish in it (although they may be dead as no one can see past 2 in. the pond is an estimated 6 feet deep and 30 feet across by 70 feet wide. the stairs in the farm house could be destroyed but won't as they are over the basement and they make the structure sound.
Part 4: Living
we would fill the basement with 8- 10 inches of soil and use the separate rooms to grow potatoes. the living room has large bay windows with wood shutter that when filled with dirt can grow other items that need large amounts of sunshine. we would trade with survivors and possibly (if possible at all or not already done) release animals at the zoo so that they may populate the area and provide food for the winters and other useful items such as fat for making candles, fur for clothing and boots among other things.
the property has a working smoke house and my parents know how to can, my dad is also a good carpenter/ engineer (the building kind not the train kind) we could use the smoke house to preserve meats and othr things, there is also an orchard in the back field, so we can get apples from there to make pie, juice, and just all around yummyness we would comunicate by HAM radio and CBs with walkie talks used for person to person in the group comunication.
The Rules
will be fair and decided by the group but raiders/ those endangering the group would be hanged. the group consists of 14 people total not including those we might decide to rescue/ leave at a location.
