I hope this is in the right spot, if not I am sorry and feel free to delete it or move it to wherever it belongs. But please inform me if it is deleted, I don't feel like spending a week searching for it and of course never finding it. If there is a thread that covers this, could I have the link. And before I get told I should of looked, I typed “knives” in the websites search bar, I figured that would bring up anything close to this.

I am planning on purchasing a knife within the next few months but am unsure on what I should get, I don't know much about knives sadly.

I need a good all round hunting/combat/survival knife. From what I have heard that already contradicts itself, since supposedly very small knives are better for survival and combat knives stick with “the bigger, the better”.

I don't want to waste my money and if I get something, I want to get something affective that can do as much as a knife can.

I have heard lots of good things about Ka-bars, but of course the lack of knife knowledge attracts me to the huge Bowies. That is what happens when you watch too many movies for your own good.
