Part 1: Bugging In
Due to the fact that I am a teen, and my parents are divorced, I have two home possibility's during signs of an outbreak. Both are in high population areas, and it's bug in, and wait till most people are zombies, and attempt to get out of town, or get out of town immediately. Besides the fact that I may not be able to get my vehicles of choice out of town, I'm leaning towards bugging in till everything blows over. After i have the full length of my per-home plans, i'll decide whether i need a page for each, due to organizational needs.
Dad's House
Note: If i am at my Dad's, let's assume I am only with my Dad, and not my Granny too, that'll be how i plan my article here. I'd plan only me, but when at my Dad's, i always am with my dad, for it's only on the weekend.

Step One:
After realizing what's going on in the news, and posting on the forum, I will explain what's going on to my Dad, and after I have him on my side, check the forum to see if i have a reply. Though, with or without a reply from you all, i will start my prepping. Don't want to be un-prepared just because i haven't gotten all of the pro's here approval. After telling only my closest friends and family, I will get into proper attire to be out working, and have my Dad do the same.

Step Two: Once we are ready, I'll get both of our cats into the master bedroom to keep them out of harms ways. As soon as that is done, I'll begin filling the kitchens double sink, the bathroom sink, and the bathtub with water. Outside, I will use the water tap to fill the large Ozarka jugs we still have from when we had a dispenser. During that whole process, I'll have told my Dad to make sure both of the battery's for his power tools, and as many recharables have power as possible.

Step Three: After we are ready to begin the bug in steps, I will check the forum again, reply if necessary, then get to it, gathering materials to board up windows, and prepare doorways. We live in an older house, so all our doors are nice and solid, even the closet doors. After we have as many usable materials from our lot, we will scavenge our next door neighbors that use their house for storage, we have a key to keep an eye on the place. Once we have as many barricading materials as we need, we'll start the next step.

Step Four: We'll start by using two inch screws, and making a makeshift 'screen' for our large front window. We have a large front window, so it needs to be protected, although, it is an older window, so it has the real iron screens, with a good bracing around the edges. After that main issue is blocked off, we'll do the big window to the front bedroom, and the sides windows to the master bed, and bathroom. It shouldn't take too long with my Dad's Ryobi power tools. Though, we will be ready with this random softball bat in the garage, and some hickey sticks. Sure they aren't the best zed-weaponry, but it's better than nothing.

Step Five:
After the primary sources of entry, such as windows and the rear sliding glass door are taken care of, I'll check back to the forum, and probably make one of my last few post. Although since, I'll make sure we have done this right before the riot stages of the disease, and we will probably still have power and running water, I'm still not gonna sit in front of the monitor. Before nightfall, if it is before the Panic strikes, we'll have gone to the store to stock up on canned goods, and containers for water, and any other gear we deem useful. If there is still running water, we will be sure to take our last hot showers.
Note: This step is only if zeds are apparent BEFORE the Panic. Otherwise, we ain't leaving the house.

Step Six:
Since we'll have barricaded the windows and doors well from the outside, if we are given time, we'll do what we can on the inside, while still leaving escape routes. Assuming that the house is in the current state it's in now, we will have about one and a half weeks worth of canned food WITHOUT rationing. (We eat canned food, because we do like corn, green beans, etc. We be sure to have some.) Due to the fact that power will probably go out sooner than water and natural gas, we'll cook a last good meal, but not bloat ourselves.

Note:
I was really tired when I wrote this. I know it could be better, but I don't have much time to edit right this moment.
