POSSIBILITY #1
Well, just as always, I dontnecessarilydont necessarily think that there will be zombie, just more likely fall of government, civil unrest around 2012, disease, thingslike that.

Now with that being said, I most definately believe that the best thing to do is to stay at my fathers home which is accrossed the street. I know that
most people assume I am would be living off of him or somehting along those lines if Im living so close, but I just wanted to be close for my sons
sake. His house is approx. 2300 sq. feet and is on a third acre lot which is kinda big for being in the city.

The pros of this as how I see it:

Its very close to where I live.

We have a river rafting outfitting company in our back yard.

There is a small barn which the comany is run out of which has all of our camping/survival pupplies we sell.

In the house there are 2000 rounds of 9mm, 750 rounds of 7.62x39, 5000 rounds of .22, 100-ish rounds of 00-buckshot, and 50-ish rounds of .357 mag.

Already is there a firearm in each room of the house.

We always have extra construction supplies stored here(concrete mix, plywood, cinderblocks, thinset, nails, screws, etc.).

I have a key to his house.

There is 2 fullgrown pecan trees and a grapefruit as well in the back portion. we have also been saving the nut meat fro a couple of years as well.

A 9' block wall surrounds the perimeter besides a stron wood/steel gate big enough for a large SUV to fit through if needed.

I can think of more later, this is just off the top of my head.

Here are the cons:

We are in the middle of a medium sized arizona city.
We are close to a 1 Walmart, 1 Home Depot, 4 schools, a small army armory and a Basspro. I consider those bad because everyone will try for those
places and whoknows what will come from it.

We would not be able to grow all of our own food and probably have to scavange some. I will however do what I have to to make sure our group is
taken care of.

I really cant think of anything more...

Obviously If we were to make it to his house we would need to take most if not all extra plywood/scraps and bord up the inside of the window first and
then the outside. we have many anchors and a few hammer drills, so it shouldnt be an issue that we have block houses here. The windows are double
paned and gas filled, so thats why I would do the inside first.
