Las Vegas, power on, infection speading
(this was suppose to be Scenario 3, but i screwed up placing it so some other guy beat me to it) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Marsden - DON'T TRUST THE ARMY!
Take water bottles and place in mini-fridge to keep cool. (All Vegas hotels have mini-fridges; don't they?) Turn off lights. Lock doors and windows. Put $500 in pocket. (For the big plan later) Stay for 2 days living off junk food and water unless compromised by zombies. If military begins full offensive, I shall leave my hotel room and avoid any military forces. Pack my suitcase with any remaining water and food; bring several new changes of clothes towels and cleaning equipment i.e. aftershave, deodorant. (This will become apparent later on) I will look through the hotel rooms for a male guest who has recently come to hotel. (Ideally only 1 day before the outbreak) I will then avoid military presence at night, while not engaging zombies. I will then use the fire-axe to break the bolts on a manhole cover. (Hopefully the noise will be hidden by the army's shooting) I will then enter the sewers in my first set of clothes and move as far in one direction as I can. If I am lucky I should hopefully emerge outside the city in the desert. Under the cover of darkness I will change, clean up and assume the identity of the man from earlier. I will then begin conversation with military at the border asking what is going on etc. Hopefully the travel ticket being recent will make him think that I arrived after the city was quarantined and the aftershave and clean appearance should add to the disguise. I don't want to get shot by military for possibly spreading the infection. I will then get on one of the buses that commonly drive to and from Las Vegas. If I am not allowed on I always have $500. (This is the best plan I have ever conceived!)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mehillus: fill tub and sink with water, turn off my lights, then barracade the door with assorted furniture from the room.(i am assuming that i am above ground floor) . i then look out the windows to assess my options. fill my backpack with the water bottles and food, pocket the cash. sleep lightly untill day 2, then check outside again. unbarracade the door, and dont forget the keys.(notice i didnt lock the doors? didn't have too :] ) take backpack and fireaxe with me. go downstairs. search the immediate area, ie. running distance to the safehouse, for supplies and weapons. eat on the go, keeping alert and not eating too much, to avoid sugar crash. i find a 7 11 and cautiously advance. 2 z's, which are eaisly dispactched. secure the immediate area, then load backpack with jerky and other dry goods. return to the safe house and re-barrcade, then rest after refilling bottles of water.remain in room for 5 days, watch tv for news quietly.
by this time my supplies should be about a quarter of what they started at, so i decide to go on another area search. if the news shows signs of the military pulling back, then it would be best to escape, and i probably would do that by daylight, with a backpack full of food and water heading south then to the west.
note that i would only have to dispatch any z's that were in the immediate area of my safehouse, and in the 7-11 because i want to stock my supplies in safety, and that any other z's i encounter would be easily avoided.

UnUndead: I would get a map of vegas, and a more specific one of the area right around the hotel, barricade the door using the bed, and work out a plan from there. If no map was available, I'd use the phonebook to find where some gun shops, an REI or similar store, and a privately owned grocery store are. I'd hope to head west out of the city (really just away from the mass of zombies that was the military), picking up supplies, gear, and weapons from the stores I found out about in the hotel.
Wait, survive for 30 days? Fuck the above plan. That'll be my backup, in case Zs get into my room. Primary plan: Fill bathtub and sink(s) with water, barricade the hell out of my door, eat enough food to get full, and ration the rest of the food. I should live for thirty days. Of course, that's only if I want to survive for 30 days. If I want to survive long enough to reproduce, then the first plan is better.
Location: Las Vegas (well, at least a cheap version of it)
class: 3 (The city is blocked off, 9/10 of city is zombie, The army sending in occasional scouting parties to look for survivors.)
Fine print: Your vacation has gone awry, as a experiment at the hoover dam gone wrong, infecting the city of las vegas. In salvaging your hotel room, you find a fire axe, a couple of bottles of water, and some junk food and cash (500$) from a trashed vending machine. Oddly, the zombies have failed to destroy the hoover dam, the city's main source of power, so the lights of vegas continue to shine bright despite the city being in its darkest hour. To your East lies the police headquarters and the airport, where the infection is worse, but contain the guns and supplies needed to survive. Across the street lies a McDonalds, which could contain some food and eating utensils (weapons). The bulk of the fallen soldiers also lies to the east, where army-grade weapons lie on the street, ready for the taking. To theNorth-East, a radio mast blinks its lights, that could be used to send a distress signal.
Goal: survive for 30 days, and/or escape to the barricades surrounding the city.

cant be fully sure how it could happen but you never know. there is a chance sewers have zombies in them and you better just in case have a alternate route. definately dont want to be in a dark, smelly, somewhat small, and possibly zombie filled sewer.

you still have power, so you could use the objects in the hotel room, ie. the t.v. , the coffee maker [boil water just to make sure....] clock, plus other things you may find that can help you out....
