Martial Arts and Hand-to-Hand (useful styles to learn)
So, your gun is out of ammo, your knife is broken, you can't get to another weapon in time. Now what? It's time to drop your fear of getting to close to those pesky zeds and take it to em' the old fashioned way. Of course I mean Hand-to-Hand, your last resort when facing a zombie.
Some useful Martial arts to learn are Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kick Boxing, Judo, Wrestling, and many others I don't have the time nor energy to name.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
A good collection of skills to learn including but not limited to, choke holds (on a zombie?), arm locks (much more useful than chokes when itcomes to zeds), holds, escapes, and more.
This is good for zombie fighting because it provides good escapes from almost any situation and holds may help you keep that zombie busy while your friend finishes him off.Expect To spend years training, I may take 15 to 20 years to reach a black belt. Do not get discouraged this is an
especially effective style against humans
Kick Boxing
This is good for offense, if you want to rattle that brain this is a good
one. Kick Boxing can be good for making an escape route and maybe even dispatch
a few undead.
Judo
Very useful if a zombie grabs you, this style focuses on throwing mainly (at least it does now) in many aspects it is like Jiu-Jitsu
and those who learn both together will be formidable zombie opponents. Anyway if a zombie grabs you this style can help you
take him down and will most likely end in it letting you go, this provides you an excellent window to finish the zed.Expect a long
climb to the top of the food chain, with over 13 belts it may take a lifetime to get to the highest belt but if you do, you'll be one
of the few who have ever, and if you make it you can legally change your name to Bad-ass
Wrestling
This style is all about controlling your opponent, no cutsie fancy ineffective moves here, this will bring that zombie down easily.
This style will also control that pesky zed. If the moves are done right that zombie isn't going anywhere until you let it go
or kill it. A rough style no ranking system but after a time you'll notice a a much higher success rate in fights
Tai-Kwon-Do
This is more of a show style, if you want to impress someone with displays of grace, but utterly ineffective moves
go no further. You may think I'm being to harsh or biased myself but I merely am speaking from experience
and those whom I know that take or have taken classes in it.I also will expect criticism for my criticism but I expect it.
Also I will be open-minded if you know of an effective form or a school that trains their students well please share.
Karate
Warning!: This can be an effective style if you learn from a good school and learn a good form of it,
yes there are multiple forms of karate. For those out there who don't know there are usually multiple forms
of any martial art. This can run along the same lines as Kick Boxing. In a good school it will take you many years to reach
black belt
Please Note that none of these styles will be effective if you learn from a bad school or insufficient teacher
also know that there are many more Martial Arts that stated here, but I do not have the energy to name the hundreds maybe thousands of styles.
It is also wise to avoid schools that have a "pink" or "camo" belt as these are normally low quality and make these belts only
to appeal to more people.
Be Warned of what we call "Black Belt Factories" these are schools that give out belts very fast and you will see many "Masters" that
have not yet grown out of Kid's clothes.Be prepared to dedicate much of your time to these styles for it WILL take several years to reach
a sufficient level of skill as to gain a black belt if the school quality is good.
Please make contributions as un-biased and fact related as possible, it will also be preferable if you have experience in said style:

Speaking from experience, Karate is indeed a useful martial art to learn. I've spent 5 years learning it and I 've noticed that my fighting style is getting better. If you're in Malaysia, learn Kyokushin karate as it is better than its rival Koshinki Because koshinki focuses on fighting with protection whereres Kyokushin fights with none, except for the odd groin guard. Hope you find this useful!
