The Plan / RVE:
-I will immediately brab my bug out bag, and first aid kit. We will lock doors and board up windows. I will then call my closest friends and family. I'll tell them to pack any weapons, ammunition, body armor (improvised or otherwise), perscription drugs, canned food, and other supplies that they have. Then get their butts over here. Once they are safely at my house, we'll get down to specifics about our probable relocation. If necessary we will sleep the night.
NOTE: We will remain in this phase unless a local infestation is imminent.
-Now we put our planning into action. Everyone will pack their stuff in the largest trucks we have. Then we will form a convoy, making three stops. First we will stop at the local Turkey Hill gas station to fill up, and grab all the gas we can. Second, we go to the local pharmacy/grocery store. We will stock up onperscription drugs, and canned food (if possible). Finally we will take a backroad route to Weaver's General Store. Only problem is, that the store's occupants might still be there. In that case, we will try to strike a deal. We will offer to accept them into our group, thereby sharing our food and supplies. If they decline, then we let a six pack of RAID do the negotiating. It's ruthless, but survival is all that matters. In case the zeds beat us to it, hen we send in some RAID, and finish off the twitchers, preferably with hand to hand weapons to conserve ammo. Then we get organized and fortify.
1) Location / Supplies:
-Weaver's General is a very nice place for a mid to long-term hideout. It's in a fairly rural area, but is accessable by many highways. Also, most people won't think of fortifying this place because of it's location. It has all the basics except for a steady supply of non-perishable food. However, I have plenty stockpiled away, and their is bound to be a lot of scavengable supplies around. It is also located in a farming community, so we can fall back on that too. The store also has a large selection of rugged work clothes, jackets, and long underwear.
There is a full hardware section (sharp stuff and traps), and a hunting section. As far as I know there are some Air Rifles, Lever Actions, 20 Gauges, and .22's. As well as Crossbows, and hunting bows.
For power, there is a generator is the back
2) Fortification:
Our main problem while fortifying the store will be the large front entrance. Therefore we will have it boarded off as well as destroy/jam the automatic doors. We will booby trap the entire front of the store, as well as the front side of the parking lot. When and if it is safe, we will create signs warning other people to keep to the side and back of the building, and to holster/unload their weapons. To enforce this rule we will have guard duty at the back entrance, and the roof. The person of the roof will be armed with a hunting/ranch rifle. They will attempt to communicate with survivors that come along. They will use deadly force if warnings are not heeded, and will then alret the rest of the building. The back entrance will be the main path in and out.
3) Initial Party:-E: Light sentry
-M: Military know how
-Me: Co-ordinator, first aider
-S: Logistics
-K: Engineer and mule
4) Transportation:
-We'll use my GMC Suburban, and M's Jeep, his jeep is light and rugged, and the suburban is built like a tank with room for eight, and still plenty of room for gear.
5) Communication:
-Our communication will mainly take place using flag and penant signals. For long range comms and for contacting other survivors we will use a Citizen's Band Radio. Our truck also has a radio for communication.
6) Weaponry:
(This is where you explain the weapons that will be available to the group. Your personal weapons selection should go on your 'Survival Gear' page.)
7) Raiding / Scavenging Plans:
(How do you plan to get supplies or look for survivors after SHTF?)
8) Evacuation:
(The worst has happened. You have to get out of town. Detail how you would accomplish this here.)
