Welcome to the Missouri, USA Survival Guide. This page is dedicated to the state, Missouri. For information on America as a whole, please click on the flag or click on "The America Survival Guide" in the side/navigation bar.

Population about 6 million, mostly around St. Louis, Kansas City, and Springfield.

Geography Plains in the north, east, and far southeast in the boothill, forest and forested hill in the central and south. Central and South Missouri are full of caves and clean springs.

Gun Laws When purchasing rifles, shotguns, or handguns, a permit is not required. You don't have to register rifles, shotguns, or handguns. A rifle or a shotgun may be carried without a permit. You do need a permit to carry a handgun. (thanks for the edit Zee-Man)

Resources Much of Missouri was once a shallow sea, so there is a lot of limestone and some of the cleanest water springs available because of the limestone there. We also have many trees for wood, including elms, osage, maples, oaks, willows, and a variety of conifers. Flora includes wild berries, dandylions, onions, a variety of mints, such as apple mint, catmint, and peppermint. Warning! Poison Ivy is extremely common, so watch where you step! Fauna include a very large deer population, squirrels, moles, wild hogs (somewhat rare, but dangerous), gophers, pheasant, quail, doves, turkey, geese, and rabbits. The fish includes bluegill, crappie, catfish, and trout.

Law Enforcement The majority of police in Missouri are honest and honorable, as far as I can tell. The cities are run by their own police departments, while much of the countryside is regulated by sheriffs and federal officers.

Military Presence There are two major military bases in Missouri, one Army, the other Air Force. Ft. Leonard Wood is the Army base here. It is in Central Missouri, off of 44 Hwy in between Springfield and St. Louis. The Airforce base is Witeman AFB. It is located near Warrensburg, East and slightly south of the Kansas City Metro.

How to Survive I am quite unsure of how to survive here. An idea I had was to Hole up in one of the many caves of southern Missouri, preferably near a stream or lake, fairly far away from civilization, and loot supplies from place along the way that would help you survive in the wild, including cooking supplies, hatchet, knife, rope, fishing pole, cot, seeds, and other things that may help. you could fortify/ camoflauge the cave with trees, underbrush, and hopefully any passing zombie just pass by without noticing you.

I would love some feedback for this page, mainly on the plan itself, for it is just an idea and i would absolutely love to improve on it and work it in a worldwide plan to survive.
