MoviesThis is a featured page

This is a community created page of all known zombie (or semi-zombie related) movies.

Let's keep this one pretty simple. When you are adding a movie or show put the name of the movie, the director, and the year it came out. If possible, have the name of the movie also be a link to the IMDB of that particular flick. If you know of a certain flick that isn't listed, please feel free to add it.

If you are bored and need something to do, well.....here's a list of movies for you to watch.

Zee-Man Planet of the Apes (page: 1 2) 29 Feb 22 2013, 8:47 AM EST by Randyofpirate
Thread started: Feb 16 2013, 10:23 AM EST  Watch
AMC is airing the 5 original Planet of the Apes movies. While not zombie movies, they do bring up some interesting concepts of of survival and re-building technology.

Watching the first movie, I notice that the apes have firearms, but not much else of high technology. Now the orangutangs are actively quashing technology but can a society that can manufacture rifles really be kept from making higher technology?

I know that my skill set would allow me to establish 14th century technology with a few pieces of later tech. But short of scavenging it would be hard to do better. I wonder what sorts of things would be needed to get to 20th century technology.

Plastics seem to be well out of reach. I certainly don't have any clue how to make plastic even if I could access raw material.

Metals are within reach. While I can construct a blast furnace and a forge, while I can even make fuel to fire them, I find that I am lacking in the ability to recognize the ores*. Prospecting seems a skill that takes luck if one doesn't have modern test equipment.

So without using scavenging as a resource, what must we learn to be able to get back to higher tech?
