I have already put up my first problem about family but then i noticed another one thanks to some other persons survival plan from where he lives. i live on long island and one part of my plan involves getting out of long island but there is only one way i can think of by car to get out of long island, and thats by going over a bridge and to get very close to new york city. bridge and new york city, hells on zombie earth. I thought about a boat but besides no one i know has a boat no one i can operate a boat. any suggestions besides attempt to operate a boat or learn how to?
Garnica- i was about to say that and also please put your name next to what you wrote to see who wrote it to not make confusion.
yeah you are definatelydefinitely going to want to get out of Long island. If what you say about having only one bridge to the mainland is true, the proximity to new york is going to make long island a tempting place for the army to place a refugee camo. Your best bet is to get out before the Zombie panic. However, I cant condaonecondone a plan that involves leaving long island to go search for a possible hideout. That plan is even more likely to get you killed. if you find yourself leaving during the panic, my suggestion would be to pack your chosen vehicle full of supplies and a bike. Pack full of the supplies you will need. Go as far as you can in the car, and if you hit bad traffic, ditch the car because on z day there is a decent chance that traffic wont clear and you could wind up trapped in your vehicle for a slow death. If you see a problem, just abandon the vehicle. If you have no destination planned, dontdon't risk going by new york on Z day, just fortify your house, but dontdon't just fortify against zombies. If Long island becomes a refugee camp, you will see a lot more refugees than the army may be able to take care of. The refugees will be desperate, scared, and most importantly, armed. keep a weapon around that is more intimidating than useful in this situation, to scare off any humans. Another possibility you may need to prepare yourself for is that the military will attempt to destroy that one bridge in and out to isolate long island. if this is the case, my only advice would be to stay on the army's good side until the situation is resolved, or until you can secure transport off.
Bushwaker10: subways?
Cormacr9:Give every one who is coming with you shotguns or other good guns, walk across the bridge shooting any zombies and since in will be in the early stage there won't be many and when you get to the other side look for some one with a fully loaded car(preferably jeep) and rob it.With your new car drive out of new york to some where small and rural and board yourself in a farm house(and if you need to kick out the farmer and family with your guns so be it)
i live in albany but no little about long island, but i know enough to say there is no underground tunnel from long island to land and if there was it would be the last place you would want to be because it would take you directly into new york city. He would have the same problem as before in additoinaddition to all the problems that could occur in a z day subway. Read the survival guide
