Since seeing Cloverfield, I have noticed that panic is probably the no 3 killer of people, besides accidents and disease. With over 5 million people in New York alone, and around 1 million trying to cross the bridge, it will likely collapse or zombies will get into the group and start feasting. I recommend trying to fly out in the earliest stages or getting to the top of the Empire State building.

My escape route will be easy. Since I live deep in our subdivision in Metro Manila, Philippines, and going home is not a problem. Plus, I saw nearly all the shortcuts going out, or deeper to our subdivision. So, my idea is to ride our two vehicles. One Nissan (i dont know what kind it is, it's maroon in color, and looks old.) and our pajero. Since our Pajero is big enough fro the whole family, we can escape easily. Bring a lot of weapons, and place steel platings on our windows except our front and rear. Since our subdivision is deep in some near mountain, we can just fortify our house of just go to the nearest mall (going out on our subdivision can get us in a nearest mall) and fortify it as our own fortress. It's nearly complete of supplies.

well i don't think i will have to leave my area i am on an penincula were all the roads will get jamed that will lower the number of zombies i have to kill by a few thousand. due to the brush that surunds the area it will make it very difficult for zombies to reach me. but if that fails i have 5 other plans rwady to go
anyone think that is a bad idea

I actually live just east of Albany, in the berkshires. I have been to the city on too many occassions, and have considered the escape potential. If I were in the city
and had to escape north, I would try to cross the Whitestone bridge, by vehicle if possible, on foot if nessicary.Now, if you have the ability, try to get a beater vehicle, something that will get you to the country. Equip it with needed supplies, and pre- position it somewhere in Westerchester Cty.Get to the vehicle and drive north. The rest is up to you.
