NAA Mini Revolver .22Model: NAA Mini-Revolver
The picture to the left is not far off from the actual size of this tiny weapon. The North American Arms Mini-Revolver is one of the smallest functioning handguns in the world, easily able to be concealed in a closed fist for some users. It can be found in several calibers, though it is most effective in .22 Magnum, and is often considered a "purse gun" or "Saturday Night Special" for the tiny size, anemic cartridge, and very low price.

Along with the obvious concealment options like pockets, closed fists, and purses, one available accessory is a belt buckle with a cut-out in the center to allow for the revolver to be carried in plain sight. The legality of these is questionable as to whether or not it's considered a concealed or openly carried weapon, making it more of a judgment call on the part of an officer. Other accessories include a "holster grip", a stiff plastic holster that can be rotated downward to form an extended grip for larger hands.

Where to find

Mini-Revolvers aren't especially easy to find in brick-and-mortar stores, but the North American Arms website provides a dealer locater and they can sometimes be found used. The suggested retail price is $214, but they can be found for as low as $150.

Complexity

The Mini-Revolver is literally the simplest any firearm can get beyond a tube full of gunpowder and a lead ball. The gun itself is well made despite the very low price, though the tiny weight makes recoil worse than most would expect from a .22. The biggest problem is usefulness: the rounds the weapon is available in aren't especially powerful and the tiny barrel gives it a sluggish velocity and poor accuracy, making it only even somewhat useful at across-the-room distances.
