People you Shouldn't take on Z-Day

There are some people you just shouldn't take with you for several reasons: their slow, useless, freak out easily and so on.
I'm gonna list a few kind of people I think you should leave behind, the order they appear doesn't indicate which is more useless...

1) Pregnant Women/Fat People: Well, for a lot of reasons: they're slow, weak, low at mobility, full of hormones (if pregnant).

2) Rich/Spoiled/Whiny people: Sure there will always be a good hearted well supplied rich man or woman that you can rely on a take with you but what are the chances for that?
If you will make the mistake of taking this kind of people your bound to see the moment that they will go crazy, take a gun, maybe shoot someone and then run to the street or outside the safe house, leaving you unprotected and you will sure have a new zombie to fight 'cause we all know that they won't last long outside...

3) Cowards: You will probably feel sorry for them and want to take them with you but don't, just don't. They will probably whine all the time, non stop, and when you need them (when a zombie creeps behind you and tries to bite you) they will freeze leaving both of you unprotected and probably bitten.

4) Nervous, angry and creepy/evil people (Sociopaths/Psychopaths): This are the people that will leave you to die, will turn to zombies and bite you when you least expect it, and will steal your things and run off solo with your only vehicle.
You will recognize them from the mean stare at their eyes. Avoid them at all cost.

5) Small children (age 0-10 approximately): They will cry, take room, waste food and bound to leave some door open and let the zeds in...
This will be hard to leave them but you have to try to ignore your feelings.

6) Animals: Well I'm not talking about horses or camels or that kind of animals. I mean dogs, cats, mice, fish (wtf?) or all animals that make no use and could make people attach to them. Imagine this: a dogs runs off,his owner runs after him and boom they get killed and you get eaten.

7) Old people: It's about the same reasons as why you shouldn't take small kids. Plus they kinda smell bad...

8) People who snapped/Will kill other people: They will try to kill you because they have seen horrendous things (for example, a clown seeing his audience eaten or a man seeing his family die). They are not only useless, but they won't join you and if you try to convince them they will try to kill you.

9) People who are infected: Kind of obvious. They WILL turn into zombies and you WILL have to kill them at close range. They could turn at any time, including times when running away is embarrasing or hazardous (group showering, swimming pool, etc.).
===========================

Well that's all the people I can remember right now. Feel free to add more people and if you want you can always take one of the people above as a bait or a distraction!

SuperSoldierRCP:Children and pregnant women u have to take- children are fast, and depending can be used as decoys and plus a women will kill to protect her child lol.plus every person counts

SuperDarkHamster:well what i meant is that kids under the age of 10 tend to be useless, yeah they can be fast and agile but a small kid could freeze from fear or something like that and from what i learn in movies a child zombie tend to be super fast and super homicidal so i prefer not to take them, and yes pregnant women will kill for their child but their not strong or fast or anything while their pregnant...

Thrawn5: I would take any of these people, here are the reasons.

Pregnant lady
- she is going to give birth, civilization is going to need kids to continue after the zed war.

Rich/Spoiled/Whiny people
- no matter what they do, they are still another pair of eyes/hands. If they aren't suitable for combat you give them another thing to do, besides, the rich people can buy guns from the people who think that money is still worth anything.

Cowards
- same thing as the rich/spoiled/whiny people.

Nervous, angry and creepy/scary people
- Almost everyone will be nervous! it is Z-Day! the angry people can vent their anger on the zombies, as for the creepy/scary people, are you going to judge someone by their looks? That person could be the best sharpshooter and the nicest person in the world, even if not, they are still another gun pointed at the zeds.

Small children - tomorrows future, need I say anything else?

Animals
- OK, here there is some conflict, I do like my pets but not to the point that I would sacrifice myself for them. Chances are I would leave them behind.

Old people
- lots of knowledge, another set of eyes.

Original-Sin:
All these people could be a blessing or a curse depending on the level of outbreak you're in currently.
Early on, all but the cowards and nervous group will be useful to you, as they wont be that much of a danger and they can be transported to your safe house where they can do the menial tasks that no one else should waste their time on. The rich people will be useful as money will still be useful this early on to some crazed people. Old People have a good chance of being involved in the Viet Nam war, which means gun experience and good morale on Z-day.

Later on in the outbreak everyone in this group become more and more of a threat to your survival. If you have a strong fortress set up almost everyone in this group can be put to work on the fields, including the animals. Although if you don't have a fortress at all then all they will be to you is dead weight. Examine the level of outbreak and current situation logically before you take anyone in.

UnUndead: About cowards... Who's more likely to survive, a man who grabs his shotgun and assault rifle, goes outside, and starts shooting at a horde of over a thousand Zs at his door, or a man who locks himself in a barricaded house with food and water, remains as quiet as possible, and only leaves the house if necessary? The coward. A coward is much more likely to survive a zombie outbreak than someone who shows no fear. A coward will not hesitate to shoot an infected person, because he fears what will happen if they turn. This will be necessary for survival after Z-Day, so a coward (or three) is a mandatory part of every team.

KaikelX: Another person not to take is the person willing to shoot small children in order for themselves to survive. You could rationalize leaving the kid, but shooting him/her? That's just cold. Also, practically everyone will be nervous and/or angry when Z-day occurs. If you think that you won't be scared, just think. It was a nice wonderful day and all of a sudden you moved into a living hell, friends and family are dead, people you know get killed, you never got to say anything to people before they died, it is highly unlikely you will not be scared, nervous, or angry and still be a human at the same time. By the way what is your definition of old? It would clear things up. Some advice on the scary people. Judge how they act first. Take me for example. I look like I want to kill something and that I am pure evil incarnate, but the way I act proves that wrong, I help out, have steady nerves under pressure, have a huge moral list, etc. That creepy looking guy you just left for the zeds could have been your strongest ally. That goes for everyone else on the list. The way they act determines if they get to join or not, not the way they look.

A person to avoid is the guy who takes his anger out on the group, screaming at everyone else and causing stress to skyrocket even further and literally sink morale. Another person to avoid is the one who 'forgets' to tell you the whole truth. He could strand your group in the heart of zombie city to further his own needs. The last person I have to add to this list is the guy who thinks he knows everything about zombies because he saw all the movies. This guy will probably try to convince your group that chainsaws are the weapon of choice, or that you can shoot through floors, or a whole bunch of other nonsense that cause massive casualties.

13th.Causalty: I saw the children part and thought it was kinda selfish. Keep in mind that kids have their uses. They are agile, usually fleet of foot, and are usually more nimble and flexible than most adults. Plus they can fit in places an adult wouldn't.

Also, there are kids that live in the streets that lie and steal to be able to eat. There are also other kids that have to work underneath the hot sun everyday and build up good physical strength endurance, etc. (Me when I was younger, for example) Kids would be pretty easy to win over too, since I doubt most would want to live on their own on Z-Day. These are the kind of kids who you would want on a team.

Plus, when the "old" people die, someone needs to take over, right?

new york city bike
Would you want this guy, he is obviously in good shape and inventive, just look at the bike.

karaz: everyone one on that list would be ok everyone has their uses. the only people i can say i would not like to take with me are those who think $they don't have to do anything even when the world is falling apart and religous zelots, always sacfising people to thier now blood wanting god or killing themselves after killing zombies

Cylon1994
Wow. That Kids thing is kinda rough. And think about it. Most of us are kids, I know I am. Thrawn5 was right about a lot of things however I would probably take pets along as well. For sertain people pets can be a sanity helper. Like in "I Am Legend" but if you get people too attached to pets when they die you won't know what'll happen. That might be an overexageration. There are many useful pets.
1. Horse (A silent (Mostly) transportation)
2. Dog (Can be Trained to hunt, or detect Zombies, In WWZ It says dogs are able to tell when Zombies are Near)
3. ETC

13th.Casualty: Also, psychopaths and sociopaths have their uses. Actually, only psychopaths. (Sociopaths will gag you, feed your legs to zombies while they're still attatched, gouge out your eyes, and dump you in shark infested waters...without remorse.) For example, executions. No one, I repeat, NO ONE, will be willing to shoot someone who's been bitten, even if that person was already in a coma or is already dead and not reanimated yet. Except for psychopaths. He/she'd do it without guilt and everyone else wouldn't really hate him/her because they know that that person is...well...psycho.

CA$PER: KaikelX I DISAGREE about the shooting the lil kid thing i mean think about it if ur gunna leave them u should put them out of thier missery if ur gunna takem on the other hand obviously ur not guna shoot dem on Z-DAY u gotta do wat u gotta do 2 survive

KaikelX:
Well, you're prepared to face that memory, so I won't stop you. However, people should think before doing something they might commit suicide over later.

Aiwadi People say they could shoot some one who has been bitten but if you think about it you would ram the gun in there face and you would just stop no-body on this site could.

Teh-2nd-Casualty
You probably shouldn't take fat people too, for similar reasons as pregnant people. I know it's mean but they would just wear the rest of the survivors down. (and when I say fat people, I mean people who are actually not able to run because of it. I'm not talking about like if someone weighs over this amount they can't come. If they can run, they're fine.)

Zbo900 - i would take anyone who is willing to fight, if you can't fight, your screwed, if you can't run, your screwed, if you are hostile, then it won't be zombie that kill you, one of my philosophies is: if your friendly to me, i'll be friendly to you, but be hostile with me and your time is short, unless you can convince me otherwise.

The only people you shouldn't take are dead, infected, or zombified people. A zombified person is risky and stupid to apprehend, stinks, and is NOT a pet. An infected person will soon turn into a zombie. A dead person stinks, attracts zombies, might be violated by a man or woman, and provides no useful input watsoever. Even an evil person might help you in some way.

Mr.Xeight Is This Really Neccessary? 1 Jul 19 2008, 1:01 AM EDT by BIA!

Is arguing about the young and old pag really neccessary? I mean everyone is different (except for some identical twins, but they're creepy). Some children might adapt, others might not. Elderly people might not be able to life, but if they have military, wilderness survival, or any other useful info, they can be teachers and stay with the unarmed back at the base. Plus there was something about a man who was on vacation in some third-world country (Turkey I think it was) and some mugger stole his wife's purse. He apprehended and snapped his neck after he got the stupid theif in a full nelson. So... You guys understand now?

well, dogs can be useful in a way. places like petco carry dog back packs where they can carry stuff of their back, this can be extremely useful. the dog can carry MREs, canned foods, extra ammo, extra supples like batteries, rope, crowbars, keys, stuff to tradewith other survivors, laptops, cameras(to document your survival), ect. now the fact that dogs bark is a problem, but if they love you enough they WILL stop. they will never run away from you if they're close to you. also, dogs can serve as early warning systems. say if you have earplugs on and a window breaks. a dog can wake you up in the nighttime(assuming if your not sleeping during the day). beside zeds trying to kill you, dogs WILL detect fires or any dangerous chemical before you might put yourself in danger. so dont abandon dogs, because they just might help you in the time you really need it. and if you dont like dogs, well, you better find a way how because they might save your life. other animals like cats and fish will do nothing to help you survive, you WILL waste valueable energy and time if you decide to have any other pet becides a dog.
