UnUndead Defense of Fort Defiance and Surroundung Area 1 Sunday, 4:12 PM EDT by UnUndead

I live in a neighborhood with <2000 people, and a hospital less than two hundred yards away. There’s a High school half a mile and a Conoco a mile south, and another neighborhood two miles away and past a ridge to the west. North is a large and almost uninhabited plain, and to the east is a large sandstone cliff. So, the only direction I have to worry about zombies coming from is the south and my own neighborhood, as well as the hospital.

My house is two stories, with cheap wooden stairs, four bedrooms, and two full bathrooms upstairs. At immediate signs of a serious outbreak (if I see more than 15 Zs), I’ll fill 2 bathtubs, 2 sinks, and many bottles with water, and stock the guestroom with all the food in my house. I’ll use my ax to kill the stairs, and a helicopter rope I have to traverse between floors. My family will barricade the first floor with all the wood my dad collects, while I take all our money to Conoco, load up on canned and dehydrated food, bottled water, and gas, and come back home with it. We will armor and disconnect our garage door from the electronic opening/closing mechanism, keep the pickup in the garage, and siphon the gas out of all our other vehicles. Hopefully, by the time I’ve picked up all the supplies our money can buy, story one will be barricaded sufficiently. We will collect all the tools from my dad’s shed and store them in the 2 sleeping rooms; the food and water will be stored in the guestroom; the gas will be stored in the master bedroom and garage.

To be continued.

Load up supplies I have, go to the Big box stores 9 (Wallmart, Meijers, and etc.), get all the food, guns, ammo., gas cans, med. supplies, water, and etc.. Go fill van and gas cans. go to Farm supply store. I know alot of you are going to question my logic . But no one would go there. Everyones heading to Wallmart, infected or not. And they are packed with (axes, shovels, fencing - to secure doors and windows., clothing, boots, gloves, generators, seeds, potting soil, grow lights, tools, and alot of other very helpfull gear. If I have time and its clear I would go fill as many container with gas that I can. Put fencing over the doors and windows. Fill up as many containers with water as I can so when the water stops flowing. Stack ridding mowers and etc. infront of doors. Start growing some food, in tubs. Cut a hole in the roof ( for emergencies, set-up rain water catching tarp, and look around ).

I have a plan it involves 15 friends and family. We have a location ( will not disclose because of safety issues ), It is in a rural area but less than a mile from 2 big box stores, 3 box grocery stores, 3 gas stations, 2 lumber yards, 4 gun shops. We gather at the first sign. We are all stocking up on ammo., food , med., and etc. . Most of us get together every week to shoot. Our location is a factory with only 7 doors, thick brick walls, flat roof ( for sniping and gardening ). I personally have an AR-15 ( 30 - 30 round mags., cleaning supplies, and 3000 rounds of .233 ), Mossburg 500 12gauge 8 round pump ( 1400 rounds 3" oo &ooo Buck shot and rifled slugs ), M 1 garand (80 - 8 round mags., 1200 rounds ), Glock 21 ( 14 -13 roound mags., 1000 rounds ), Beretta 92 ( 15 - 18 round mags., 1500 rounds ) Jennings 9 9mm. ( 10 - 13 round mags ), Hand forged Katana, Military first aid kit,&pack, fatigues, axes, and other basic supplies. We also have 2 generators ( large to run electric, and small to run gas pumps. Just getting out of the Marines 6 months ago I have a good idea of what we will need Ive been fighting in Iraq for 4 1/2 years.
