Possible non traditional zombies
Lordofwar1: I just watched the movie Planet Terror a few months ago, and it got me thinking. During the movie, the zombies didnt have to be killed with a headshot. They could be killed with body shots, but it would take between 2-5 bullets to accomplish this (depending on body mass of the host body). I personally feel that these zombies, which act in much the same manner as zombies described by the Guide, are simply more plausible than the near invoulnerability that the guide describes for them. These zombie types can also be encountered in Doom(all versions including 3), Resident evil and STALKER. The advantage of this type of zombie is that automatic weapons now become a primary choice due to the Full-auto, rather than an ammo handicap. In most instances, these zombies do mob-up more than the guide would say. Typically, these zombies can (sometimes) have basic
Next is the Rage virus, which already has some coverage in this WIKI, and is characterised by extreme, suicidal aggression and little to no real thought coming from an individual. These Zombies (not technically zombies, but zombie like) are far more dangerous than the average zombie. Although these creatures are as voulnerable as a human, these also have the intense speed and agility of a human, rather than the brute strength of a zombie. Rage zombies also die far faster than Zombies described by the guide, which can survive years, Rage zombies die in about 5 weeks without a food source. This virus also harbors the possibility of being immune, and also harbors the possibility of a cure (the host isnt dead, so it might work), but this has yet to be confirmed.
So just remember, theirs always the possibility of different types of Walking dead. So prepare accordingly!
Thrawn5: yes, there are several types of zombies and they all come with their advantages/disadvantages.
Here is a basic wepons kit that will kill almost any zombie (as long as it is possible to kill it by destroying the brain)
.22 cal rifle with 250 rounds extra ammo.
Crowbar (fallback weapon).
Machete.
9mm pistol with 150 extra rounds.
