I seriously doubt the validity of those numbers.
Fight or flight and all that good stuff. If someone/something is trying to kill you it's not that big of a leap(at least in my mind) to say that it's in our nature to try and kill em right back. I CCW any time im not at school and i truly believe that if a situation arose where my life was in danger and there was no opportunity to flee I’d have no problem putting two in the chest of some ass hat. I wouldn't even bother to carry if I believed I wasn't capable of doing so. In a kill or be killed situation there’s no way in hell that 97% of people would have no desire to retaliate with lethal force.
