Ravenclaw94's Survival PlanThis is a featured page

Basic Defense Plan- To start out defending my place of residence I will have recruited my grandparents, because I think they are incapable of defending themselves alone. First, I will go out into the front yard and place large screws and nails in the ground, facing up as to temporarily confuse the zombies. The nails will poke holes into their skin, probably causing much discomfort. Because there are cliffs on the right side and back of my home, I will place many slip-and-slides on the edge of the cliffs so that the zombies will plummet down to the flames that will await them. Because I live by the theory that inferi are zombies (and vice versa), fire will be one of my main defenses. Because the only thing that can destroy inferi (that we humans are capable of) is fire, I believe that zombies, too, can be destroyed by them. While all of this chaos is taking place, my family and I will be in strategic places throughout the home. There are only five of us, so we will act very diligently. I will be behind the sliding glass door (which faces the back) firing a high-powered cannon. The other family members (my mother, father, grandmother, and grandfather) will each be equipped with a cannon and a low-powered taser. My mother will be upstairs in the window facing the back while my father and grandfather will be defending the front of the home. I have chosen to barricade the door with all of the furniture it is possible to fit in the foyer; the couch, topped with the dining room chairs and boxes. Now, when the zombies continue to be resilient, we will all clamor into the attic where our BOB’s will be. (Note that the attic is NOT the BOL.)We will go out of the attic window (which is really just a hole a made a few weeks earlier for this very situation) and climb onto the tree. When the coast is [mostly] clear, we will climb down the tree and make a run for it.

BOBs-
The Bug Out Bag’s (5 Jansport backpacks) will each contain 10-20 packets of beef jerky, box of crackers, 5-8 large water bottles, a flash light, pack of 4 AA batteries, extra set of clothes, hatchet, and money. Hopefully this will last us a few weeks, if necessary.

BOL-
The Bug out Location is 20 approximately 5 miles from our home, which is much too far to go when trying to escape zombies. This is why we have a designated vehicle across the street in a storage unit. To get the car, we will fire our tasers and hope for the best. Hopefully most of the zombies near the house will be taken care of at this point. Once over to the storage unit, we’ll get into the car and drive to the BOL, which is along the bay. Once we are to the bay we get into my grandpa’s boat and go to a little tiny island (really, it’s less than a square mile) where our actual BOL is. The shelter is a small stone building that we built for survival of the invasion. The house will have a fireplace, and 5 cots with a single storage closet (it’s all we could fit on the little island) that will contain extra food, blankets, guns, gasoline, soap, and ammo. The only other room is the bathroom, which contains a small bucket for pooing and peeing in, and a large bucket for washing.

Survival Plan-
Now that we are in the BOL, life will most certainly be very difficult. We will never leave the house because then we run the risk of a zombie or person at shore seeing us(we don’t want any people to see us because then they will come and attract the zombies). We will dump our bodily waste and old water out the bathroom window. We’ll be able to survive there for about a month, and after that we’ll need to fish. The main rule is that we will not leave the island until we know for sure the invasion is over.

I hate to be "That guy" but why waste screws and nails? They're dead, they won't care. Use those screws and nails to fix your position after attacks/disasters. Next, using fire, is it created by gas or propane? Waste of resources again, save them. Cannons and tasers? Unless you have epic grapeshot (Which will kill very few of them, mostly cripple them) that will be worthless and tasers will be as effective as shooting them at the dirt unless you can somehow get the shots to hit the target's eyes and somehow destroy the brain with an electrical charge. Then, those are only one use weapons. Also, won't the zombies be able to just break the sliding glass window and get in? What use will money be in your BOB? Then what about illness? Any antibiotics? Sugical kits? What if the undead end up floating over to the island? I advise redoing this...
