Zombie panic
if you have half life one or two you have the privilege of playing either zombie panic (hl1) or zombie panic: source mod (hl2). I have source and it is highly realistic as well as being entertaining. With a full server it starts out with everyone except for two or three people being zombies. The survivors start out with one pathetic melee weapon and a pistol. As they look for weapons and construct barricades some survivors will get disposed of and become zombies themselves. While in a barricade the survivors will have to kill off all the zombies who can respawn if they have extra lives which all zombies share while also sharing ammo between them. When the ammo thins and the zombies multiply the survivors must think quickly and effectively. If the survivors are smart and cooperate they just might survive. The zombies have some advantages like seeing where humans are in the dark, the chance of infecting humans which can turn and kill their teammates, the ability to regenerate health and of course, increased health. Survival Weapon
If the was a zombie outbreak, what would be the weapon that you would stand by throughout the entirre Zed invasion.
I dont want you guys saying that you would carry like 4 guns or something like a .50 cal rifle cuz where would you get that anyway?
My chioce would be a 9mm or a 45 cal pistol and a hunting rifle.

plus i would take one of the drywall knives in my garage along with a longer kitchen knife. last resort.

Game basics
"Before going anywhere you need to have a vision for what it is your making. Yes we know it is a zombie theme, and Im willing to bet, mos tof us would like the game to be realistic, more a zombie simulator than a simple zombie game.
Im starting this thread for people to post a legitimate game. And I mean legit. Do not bother posting on this thread unless your post includes the following;
Genre of game (FPS, RPG, FPS/RPG hybrid, turn based strategy, RTS etc etc)
Game engine (Dark basic, Hammer, worldcraft, FPS game creator)
Basic game mechanics (Type of hud if any, weapons, stat building, character development, physics, lighting)
Selling point (give a brief description on why this should be the game we go with, think about time to develop, cost, ease of programming and such)
This is not a debate, this is not a place to comment on how cool the games are. This is to get an initial assessment on what the communities ideas are for the game. My goal is that after these ideas put up, we can make a decision on what game is best for the WIKI.

The Last Stand....I know its not realistic, considering unlimited ammunition and such is not possible. But I found the game to be quite amusing after I found the Hunting Rifle. One hit kills to the head, not to mention those two for one head shots!

Bare Essentials
KISS (keep it simple stupid) would be my philosophy here. I would also plan to stay on the move till I found a permanent place that was.
1.Carrying Bags - A simple Backpack would fill this role
2.Clothes- I for one don't want my "Johnson" swinging in the breeze. And with zombies and other people wanting to kill me I would hate to add hypothermia or sun burn to that list. I think shoes fall under clothing as well, it would suck stepping on all the glass that will inevitably litter the ground. 1 set of clothes (not baggy), one pair of shoes/boots.
3. Tool kit- fills the multi role of tools and last resort weapons
4. First aid kit- obvious
5. People- a lot safer to raid, loot, sleep in numbers, others will know things that you don't, and can help pass the time be it chit-chat, games, or "stress relief".

For everyone who said that they would like to have some "hot looking chick" let me assure you.. People like Paris Hilton will not survive the zombie apocalypse (statistically speaking). The females that have the highest survival chances, are going to be the big ol' redneck Betty's that have a gun rack in their pick-em-up truck, 6 shotguns at home, a few high caliber rifles. Sorry to burst your bubbles... but the bikini-clad fantasies you want arn't realistic.. and that is what WE STRIVE for at this Zombie Survival and Defense Wiki. If you really want a female as our mascot.. make it real, 280 pounds, clad in camo, toting around her rifles and hunting dog Buck.
Or, we could just go with Zombie Bob... he has my vote.

Dude ur awesome i can't wait. It would be super cool if it was like grand theft auto but with zombies instead of pedestrians and a few survivors in the city and you just beat the living shit out of the zombies. Dude, i'm gonna help you list more weapons and draw some stuff and help you with the city or level design. This is gonna be awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! your the cooooooolest. I've been dreaming of a game like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahahaha....How can you know that you can shoot a gun if you have never shooten one??..Maybe you have played games like counter strike..But real gun shooting is REALLY different..And if you could handle an real gun u have to choose an weak one..Or the power will kinda really hurt....The first time i used an real gun was when i was 9 or 10 years old...The gun was pretty powerful and after the first shot my hands were shaking...You are too young too survive the zombie outbreak...Get some years older (Like 5-8 years.)....
But hey how do you plan to take the gun from the gun shop??...And what the hell is with the possible zombie outbreak??..Where did you read it and why would anyone know when the zombies were to come??

the hybrid one is way stupid you should probably make the game a little more realistic...not so..resident evil. im just saying that it is really stupid to control zombies, if we go that way we might as well create a magician and warrior classes.
