Remington 7600Model: Remington 7600
This weapon is an oddity: a pump-action rifle. Pump-action weapons have traditionally been shotguns, to the point where the familiar chick-chuck sound is ingrained in the mind of Americans everywhere as the sound of a shotgun. The 7600 is the modernization of the older Model 760, and has been in production since 1981. It's available in a large number of calibers, including some very popular ones.

The 7600 is often used by hunters, especially ones who want to "cross over" from using a pump-action shotgun and is a favored choice of deer hunters. It's also a popular rifle in Australia due to its legality; in particular the 7600 is the standard-issue rifle of prison guards in Queensland. An interesting weapon is the 7615 Police Patrol Rifle, which is chambered in .223 and features Ghost Ring sights and the ability to take AR-15 magazines.

Complexity

Along with an inherently strong pump-action mechanism, the 7600 is a rugged rifle meant to stand up to use hunting in rough environments. The action and very similar controls allows for cross-training between Remington 870 and Remington 7600 users.
