Heres my problem: It's damn near the center of london, and area that isnt exactly lightly populatd. Plus, that means every1 in the north has to travel over 360 mils for a pssible meeting of survivors. I think it would be better instead of the center of london, we choose somewhere along the center of the U.K., still close to water and preferably with a functional castle and food and water accessible.I myself am in blackpool. I think somewhere rather unpopulated and far from bg cities as possible. Im tryin to find one such place, and the moment i do ill let u know. For any english people on this site, if ucan fid a place that fits the specifications, let m know. We'll work everything out.

Adding new members to your band of merry men can be a real problem or a big help. First they will need to be disarmed and quarantined. They will have to agree to abide by a set group of bi-laws, and a means of enforcement of these laws needs to be established. While it is human nature, to help everyone you can, what happens if the person is too old, or sick, to work? What if the person doesn't place nice with others? To what limit do you punish an offender? In a large group, weapons will need to be secured in an armory, and only issued to qualified persons. While I am all in favor of the 2nd amendment, you just can't have everyone running around with weapons. Also there has to be some kind of control placed on alcohol, again, this won't be popular either but you can't have someone, drinking a beer, while on watch, or prior too going on watch. And let's face it, someone that is a habitual drunk, is of no use to the group. Although, the world just ended, some people are going to want a drink, and that's understandable. And what to do, with those that are say, already in jail or prison for being naughty? You really can't afford resources, to keep someone caged, but do you let a killer loose? What about non violent offenders, say someone arrested for a simple DWI? Rebuilding society gets complicated fast. Have a nice day.

If this was to happen, our check in point to meet with family and friends would probably be a close to a college campus towards the east, outside of town. It is very secluded out there and one can not even see the campus from the main road. There is a clocktower that we could meet at and I suppose our signal could be a "muffled" quick light from a flashlight (the flashlight could be muffled by say pantyhose or something like that, if we're meeting at night.) If we're meeting during the day time, I am not sure what a suitable signal would be.......any ideas from anyone?

1) Do you really have the luxury of wasting either people or time to sit and watch a location a distance away?
2) If its not under constant watch, whats to keep the people from waiting hidden for you? 3) What if the people that find your spot are in need of immediate help? Personally i want to list part of my BOL for this, however it is not allowed. The particular building in my BOL i would list also is my quarantine area. The people can be helped immediately if need be, info and supplies can be traded. If they want they can be on there way or choose to stay. It is not in large population immediately, and practical work can be done in the time between random appearances of survivors. If for some odd reason you don't want some one tell them to leave.

id find the highest area possible if such a thing did happen, a spot on top of a large building with a one way stairwell to the roof would be perfect. my group of survivors would surely be big enough to watch the one entrance way plus my family in all has 9 guns and plenty of ammunition and blunt objects. wed get through it for a while. probably not over a year or a year and a half though if we stayed in one location for too long mostly because of a food shortage

Well, Evacuation has always been intended to happen BEFORE the catastrophe. When people don't evacuate, disaster happens, such as during Hurricane Katrina and the Jews who didn't evacuate Germany before the Holocaust. It is in human nature to think you will survive no matter what. And rendevous will probably bring infected to you or at least people who will hinder you. Think about it. A 31-year old woman or man who has never left their respective state comes to you without even the simple know-how of how to clean a wound or unjam a handgun. That is a hindrance.

Nearly half of Sasks population resides in 2 cities Saskatoon and Regina.
This is just a working area. 1. Rural centres and smaller cities ie North Battleford, Prince Albert, Moose Jaw, Swift Current. 1.1 -in your much smaller centres(under 10k pop) I would sit tight and NOT travel unless necessary. 1.2 -in your small centres (10-30k pop) ie NB, PA, MJ, SC, I would say make a judgement call about evacuation. If you have a rural home or cabin that is easily accessible this might be a good place to hole up for now and await further instruction. Await Military/Gov't support if possible. Failing that proceed to section 2(North) for NB/PA and section 3(South) for MJ/SC. 2. Saskatoon & Area (North SK) population approx. 300K 2.1 Any survivors please evacuate towards the NW Highway 16 towards NB or NE Highway 11 towards PA 2.1.1 please use any and all exits from Saskatoon proper before heading to these highways i.e. it is easy enough to get to 16 via Dalmeny Road rather than drive through the city to get to Idyllwyld North 2.1.2 evacuate north towards PA or NB the eventual goal is Battlefords National Park and Prince Albert National Park. They are large well defined areas topologically near large freshwater sources with many infrastructure resources in place but not a terribly populus region. 2.1.3 Beware traveling exactly through PA or NB as they have larger populations and could be Red Zones. There are many sideroads, hopefully you have GPS or a SK roadmap in your vehicle. 2.2.1 Keep your radios on all the time (Note:Appendix B for emerg freqs) 2.3.1 Just North of NB there will hopefully be a RVE where you will be guided towards/into BNP if a base is not already set up in PANP this will be the de facto survivor meeting place, it is a town called Cochin (Co-shin). Important, at NB do NOT continue on HW 16 to Edm, AB, get to HW 4 N and go north.

I think this would be a great place to go. Its inhabited but not overly populated, only about 4000 residents, still plenty of fertile land, with wild game(buffalo). I know how to pilot a boat and there are tons in the harbor. As for the whole 'zombies walk across the ocean floor' thing, the trench between Catalina and mainland california is thousands of feet deep, and drops off suddenly. Plenty of fishing around the island as well. Only real concern would be storms.

every albertan on this site t dosent already have a base head to edmonton and then to the west edmonton mall and wait by one of the enterances i will check every day three times at each door i wont have many guns though. oh and also the reason i picked wet edmonton mall is couse theres thousands of supplies and many lockable stores if the mall gets over run by zacs i will throw a molotov cocktail through one of the windows to torch the mall so if when you get their and the mall is burned down then i will either be dead or in another mall

30.008054,-81.612968 is near a bar, and quick stop gas station. Small building made of block and concrete. hardware store nearby too. Country setting not densley populated. Probably only suited for nearly 100 souls. contact eagle 59 on cb chnl 35 or 14 depending on atmoshpheric conditions.
site contains fishing, groceries, bar, light hardware store and minimal residential housing. |
