Scenario 2

It’s time for a new scenario. Any feed back would be much appreciated at the bottom of the page. If you need more details, just ask.

Location:

Having spent the night in a friend’s apartment, you are in the most crowded part of the city. To the north, there is a seaport and islands scattered off the coast; however, people will most certainly have chosen this route as well. To south of you is a significantly less populated town, but the infection has probably already spread there. To the west there is a highway that leads to a national park with woods and low mountains, but some say the highways are suicide. To the east there are the farmlands, but to get there, you’ll have to make it through suburbia. You always have the option of staying in the apartment building or any of the surrounding buildings in the city.

Level of Outbreak:

It’s a level three outbreak. You’ve woken up to the news on your radio telling everyone to stay indoors. You look out of the apartment and see the destruction below. The nearest cities are starting to fall to the outbreak as well.

Equipment:

Unfortunately, you don’t have any of the equipment of your bug out bag; it’s still at your house. You have to rely on what your friend has in their apartment and whatever is in your car or your friend’s car. The pantry is full of some perishables and water bottles, but most of the food is perishable. The most notable items in your friend’s house include: a baseball bat, a crowbar, pocket knives, steak knives, a knife sharpener, a backpack, carrying cases for various products, two pairs of boots, a box of ammunition with 40 rounds left and a .22 Sig Sauer with a full clip. The items in the vehicle include: road flares, bungee chords, jumper cables, and a small flashlight.

The goal is to get to a safe place and hold out until either the duration of the attack or until military help arrives.

13th.Casualty:
Hmmm, I will take all the above said equipment and load it into the cars. We will convoy towards an ATV store and "aqcuire" two ATVs with good cargo space. (You know, those little compartments in the back, side, and the seat.) Siphon all the gas we can from the carss, then get to my house. Get my BOB, (see profile) then get to the nearest Police Station. I will quickly go to the EVIDENCE ROOM (not armory, everyone will be there, and some douchebag probably got every one bitten already) and take all the weapons I can take. Oh, and I'll also try to get myself a fishing rod.

Afterwards, we will get to the port, "acquire" a yacht, load up with anything else we need, then hang out half a mile from shore. Whenever we need more supplies, we will either fish or go back to shore and raid stores.

Residentmagnum

I would stay inside
Lock the door and then use a couch to block the door
fill as many bottles with water
Fill the bath tub with water the toilet will then continue to work if water goes out or wash dishes
If I'm on the 1st floor there will be a big problem but if I'm on the second or higher not so much
If the phone works (land line) I would try to call the other neighbors maybe they spent the night at a friends as well then maybe we could raid thier homes for supplies
Hold out and wait for help

What if

This part is what I would like to find

  1. morman left their year supply of food and water
  2. A gun nut left armour percing bullets and a long range rifle with a lot of ammo
  3. home improment project with tools / wood / nails to make a better barricade
  4. Sports fan left their football gear / hockey gear (bite proof armour)
  5. the building as a back up generator

This is what I hope not to find

  1. Zombie neighbors
  2. Deit products that are highly parishable
  3. spoiled food / no food
  4. no water when I wake up
  5. Zombie eating my friend
  6. Friend is a zombie and is now eating me
  7. the gun is jammed
  8. ammo for 22 Sig Sauer is no good (water got to it duds)

dominickmagas:
I'd stay in the apartment, gather as many survivors as i could, scavenge materials, and try to wait it out, not the best solution, but if we're quiet, we could survive.

I would grab all the gear drive to somewhere that I can find an off-road vehicle, drive off the highway and to either the farm lands or to a military installation. If the military installation is overrun then me and my friend would go to the most secluded spot and set up a camp there. A class 3 outbreak is to dangorous to wait it out in an undersupplied apartment and if the millitary are organized enough to wipe out and outbreak then they would have cordoned off the area and it would be hard to get out anyway.
-Blackrider

ReverantFaun- depending on how bad it is outside of the apartment i would head up the street to my house grab my B.O.B and head back to my friends apartment (after i grabbed all the equipment out of my friends car then head up the stairs to his apartment and destroy the stairs or at least barricade them then make sure noone is infected in the building if there is then eliminate them with my rifle i got from my house. then wait out the chaos untill it's over.

Nosfera2:
first thing i gather everything useable and head for the roof once there i decide to attempt a jump to the next building over my freind goes first and makes it i jump and miss slightly crashing through the 3rd floor window it turns out the owners wer survivors a good thing because lost gun in the fall dropping it to the side walk below but as it turns out the man of the house is a gun nut and has an arsenal including a few illegal wepons like 3 m67 hand grenades,an m16.and an hk5 we head up and meet my freind on the stairs and now we are all armed we head to the streets below parked in the road is a dump truck we decide to take it at this point we havent aquired any attention yet i take the m16 and ride on the roof and we slowly head to the nearest auto shop and temporarily barricade ourselves my freind keeps watch on the roof while we modify the truck with things we find in the shop there is now plates on the windows and a metal box on the top that opens into the cab and has enough room for me to shoot we drive through the barricade and make our way to the next city there are fewer zombies here we refill the gas tank and make our way to yet the next city over there are few zombies here we find a way to set of the tornado alarms so that the unaware civilians will begin to evacuate we use the dump truck to push small abbandoned vehichles into a barracade to block off the bridge to the neighboring town and hunt down the few zombies in this town ensureing he saftey of the evacuating civillians

BanditJack:
Okay, no shit, I actually carry around a condensed version of my BOB. It's in a dump bag I wear on my waist. I didn't mean to, it just started to happen. It contains a substantial med kit (surprisingly good value kit from Meijer), about 20 ft. of rope, a scope (or monocular), 3 bandannas, a poncho, waterproof matches, a multitool, a bag of skittles :), and a small bottle of gun oil, along with the other stuff I carry (wallet, pens, sunglasses, etc.). On top of that, I have 3 knives and 2 multitools on my person. Considering I spent the night, that means I would have also grabbed my Maglite mini

Barricade the door until we're ready to move. Make sure the fire escape is pulled up. We take his camera and rig it for direct feed to the computer. Once we've gotten all of our supplies together, we clear the hallway, checking the rooms (make sure they don't shoot us, see if they wanna come[more supplies!]) until we reach the elevator. Everybody stands far back and prepared, while I go up and smack the 'Down' button and run back to them. Clear the elevator, and put the camera in there to recon the lobby. If it's clear, we send whatever security we can down, and then load the elevator with our people and supplies. The main team stays in the lobby, while a four-man team gets 2 cars, and backs them through the building front. We load up the crap and speed through suburbia, and out into the farmland, were we redirect towards the mountains.

Nexus_Oblivion:
Well for this case I have decided on two things that I would do. The first is I would take all said equipment and go with my friend to the car and hopefully be able to find some survivors while heading to the less populated town. From there depending on the type of buildings there I would find a sturdy 2 story place or barn and barracade us in their. The second option which Im more inclined to do is to barracade us in his/her apartment and wait till help comes or I sucumbed to insanity.

So, given this information, I'd give my friend the gun, and take the water and longest lasting food in the backpack. I'd take the crowbar. I'm assuming that this is a large apartment complex, so I would go about, knocking on doors, and any that does not reply I would pry open under cover of my friend with the gun. Then I would proceed to try and gather as much food (non-perishable) as possible, and continue this while working our way up to the roof. Once to the roof, I would set up the supplies, and raid and empty top-level apartments for barricade materials and something for makeshift shelter. This allows us to be moderatly protected from weather while also barricading the roof access points. Then we can wait it out as long as the food lasts, and when it runs out, it's time to work back down into some of the other rooms we hadn't hit yet (although food would be much more scarce by then...)

I'm not trying to put you down or anything, but the point of doing a scenario is for us to take what we know and make a plan based on that. Scenarios require thinking on the reader's part, so I don't really feel it necessary to add things like, "people will most certainly have chosen this route as well", or "the infection has probably spread there."
All I'm saying is that it might be better in the future to leave out assumptions and just give us what we "know", so as to give us more of a challenge.

Now, in regards to my response to the situation, I gather I've woken up during a level 3 outbreak in a friend's upstairs apartment, right inside the city's population hot-spot.
First, while checking out the window and seeing the destruction, I'd make sure to check the immediate area to see if it was safe to venture out for a minute to grab the stuff from the car. The friend would be armed with the 22 and wearing the backpack, and I would have the crow and a knife. With the trunk popped, he'd cover while I transferred the items from the car to the backpack. To avoid attention, the trunk would remain open [Don't wanna make unnecessary noise, right?] and we would quickly/quietly make our way back into the apartment, after placing 2 of the bungees onto the handrails to at least slow down any approaching zeds. Now, after we have a nice, energizing meal, we'd pack up, gear on, and move out on-foot. The car would be a deathtrap in the middle of that mess.

Our most likely goal would be to jump from spot to spot within the city to:
1- Avoid being in one place too long.
2- Stay among familiar territory.
3- Gather up survivors scattered throughout the city.

Scenario Three

Location
You are in school on 20min from city hall (High school or College, what ever you choose) you are in Cooking class when over the intercom a voice says there’s been strange killings in town near city hall and cannibalistic men and women biting people. Your best friend calls you saying he’s and some guys heard about the killings and high tailed it to your house and is ready to leave. Since your in school you have no guns only what you have in the surrounding class rooms. You can head either home to the guys and all book it or you can head out by yourself. To the north is the bay and the entrance to the gulf of ocean. To south of you is the city (which is where city hall is located). To the east there is the commercial district of the city. Wal-Mart, the Mall, a major of the cities business are located here. To the west there is farmland and woodland area’s. But here’s the twist, The city has been declare a state of emergence and the police are out in force and to make matters worse your city has a total population of 5million(including suburbs) s. The military will be here tomorrow but they’ll be little to no help. (You can use anything you can steal from the military)
Level of Outbreak
Its around a level 2, There beginning to a few infected in your area. It should be stage 3 in only a few hours. Your house is accommodated with all of the usually household items. Nothing fancy the things a 18-19 year old would have at home
Equipment
you only have what you can grab on your way out of class. You have no gun or ammo. You have your car but it only has enough gas to get to you house and no where else, In your car you do have a gun, your 45colt but it only has one clip.
There you guys go I look forward to your ideas. The goal is to get to a safe place and hold out though the duration of the attack.
