Sephiroth13's Survival Plan
Part 1: Bugging In
I live in mainland Scotland very close to Edinburgh and the airport, Uphall Station to be exact. Living so close to a major city alot of zombies would most likely make their way towards the small town. My first plan of action would be to barricade windows and doors. I already have a 6ft fence surrounding the back and side of my house, and big gates guarding the garden. However the front of the house is quite exposed as there is only a small wooden fence and I live on a main road. However there is an advantage I live on the top of a hill, it's not a very big hill but a hill none the less. I'd then get essential gear ready like water, food, weapons, medicine etc. I live directly behind a massive field which is quite overgrown. My next door neighbour used to be in the army so we could meet up with him as I'd expect that he is trained in survival techniques. At the back of my house there is a two story detached garage with only two entrances, the side door and the garage door itself. The garage has a water pump inside it to all we would have to do is turn the tap and voila! we have water! I would mainly use the garage as a fallback plan. We also have 2 dogs a Staffy and a German Shepard so they could alert us of zombies that arrive during the night or day as the shepard lives outside.
As for a Bug out bag I haven't yet decided on what to include so check back here!
Part 2: Bugging Out
As for an escape route I have 1 or 2 planned in my head, but I don't precisely know where I am going to go. So I'll just tell you my means of escape transport etc.
Plan 1:
Providing the roads aren't completely jammed I'd take our Vauxhall Van, load it up with essentials and basically try to make it a mobile fortress equipped with fuel and a means of contact such as a radio etc.
Plan 2:
Take all of our mountain bikes(which are all pretty good) take a bag with essential each and cycle offroad for the majority of the time and basically live off the land.
Plan 3:
Walk or run 2 minutes down the road, armed with weapons and kit bags, and take the underground water tunnels to get acroos the town quickly and easily.
That's all for now any suggestions/ideas feel free to comment and if you also live in Scotland tell me your plans.
Part 3: Digging In
[Here you detail your BOL. If it is an existing building, any modifications. If it is something you intend to build, then show us the designs, the reasons for each addition, etc]
Part 4: Living
[So you have escaped the plague, you are in your BOL, and now you have to do the hardest task of all: cope with your new daily life. What is that like? How long will you be doing that?]

You've got a great on foot escape plan. If the water tunnels are large enough I'd start storing equipment and supplies in water tight containers such as ammo cans etc. also does it lock? if you can seal the door and leave a noise maker such as an air horn or a car alarm at the locked door, the zombies will all bunch up at the door and won't notice as you silently slip away with you're prepared supplies
