LOL, seriously though. A lot of civilian shotguns these days are equipped with choke tubes, either the removable ones or the ones that are built right into the barrel. What would happen if, say, you accidentally loaded the wrong shot shell and tried to fire a .75 caliber slug out of a shotgun that was equipped with a choke? Would the slug try to lodge itself in the choke tube?
I'm pretty sure I can guess what would happen (the words "Spontaneous Self Disassembly", aka Explosion, come to mind) but I freely admit that I have never spent much time examining the inner workings or a shotgun, so I just wanted to ask in case there was some safety feature or something that I was overlooking.

I was wondering if there was any way to reload a normal shotgun shell, and if so, how many times can it be done?

would bird shot be stroung enough to penatrate a human skull?
i ask this because the only two places to get ammo in town are wal-mart and k-mart(sorta like walmart but it's sucky-er) and besides a couple of slugs/buckshot the majority of thier stock is turkey/target loads (and the occasianal upland load) would they be good enough? and what is the differance between turkey/target/upland loads?

Any shotgun shell can be quickly modified to give it more penetration, say to shoot trhough a car door or currogated steel wall, and still retain stopping power. Simply score the shotgun shell deeply level with the wad with a sharp knife(you should have one any way since it would not need reloading). do this and the upper end of the shell containing the load will detatch completely and travel as a large slug... upon striking a hard surface it will panetrate then open like a standard shotgun shell and release the load in the standard fashion. I got this info in the military, and have seen it work-- the range of the weapon will be cut in half-- however this can get you past difficult shots with out repositioning a squad member or fire team
