this is for anyone who doesn't know cause there are many here who do know but i think this might have been over looked. when armoring a car, be sure to somehow armor the grill so you can protect the radiator. the radiator is vital to the functioning of the car. AT THE SAME TIME you dont want to block the grill from airflow. air needs to flow through the grill to pass through the radiator to cool the engine. so dont place a solid peice of armor over the grill. just something to think about

-Steel is very easily availabe. Any bigger DIY store will have steel plates in their warehouse.
-Carbon Fibre is really good, but it wont stop bullets better than steel (you dont really have to worry about the price in z-pocalypse, things are kinda free) - Samo about rhynoliner paint, dont worry about the cost. But its not a thing you would find in your average store! - Chain link fencing is really good, its light, and easily available. Now to my own things. - Kitchen knifes, just weld them to your technical, and drive through zombies. They can also prevent zombies grabbing your vehicle. -Razor wire, kinda like chain links and kitchen knifes together. Barb- wire is also good. -Wood, it wont prevent bullets from those madmax- gangs, but will prevent zombies. ( you can try it out, try punching through a 2 inch wood plate. You can also hack nails through it. (sorry for my english im finnish) |
