In a town or city a good idea is to sleep in a vehicle or locked bathroom

I always imagined that getting any sleep would be difficult for a couple of weeks, especially if you were going it solo. I mean, society has just fallen apart. Rotting cannibals are constantly looking to devour you, people are looting everything, and mass panic has set in. I'm pretty sure I would have several sleepless nights in the woods before I could acclimate to the constant threat of zombies.
That said, I believe I would carry a sleeping bag and a tarp wherever I go. The tarp could be used in a lot of areas to provide a humble temporary shelter. Maybe you could compliment your sleeping area with tripwires? Or something similar to let you know when something is in your camp.

Personaly i dont think you should ever be on your own (unless you REALY have to be) because A-you will want some one to watch your back B-sleeping on your own means that you can snuck up on (if your like me and are a heavy sleeper you wont wake untill its to late) C-if you get ill or injure yourself you aint gunna be able to look after yourself so haveing some one else around to look after you is going to increase your survival chance and D-its always good to have some one to talk to
so if you are gunna 'walk the earth' kung-fu style make sure you got some one else with you, and rember its always better to have a roof over your head, thats why humans made huts/houses and even better a fort to keep you, your stuff and your team around for as long as possible, also sleeping under the stars in a hammok sounds great up untill it rains or snows

I like the idea of using high up hammocks to sleep in and stay safe from zombies. I am a little scared of heights, but I suppose fear of getting chewed on by a zombie would trump the fear of heights. Just need to find a way to hoist my cooler up there and some reading materials and I might be set for a few days anyway!

if you are lucky enough to live within travelling distance to one of theese i would definetly make use of it. they were originally designed to defend from humans with seige weapons and ladders so defending one from rotting corpses should be easy enough

i find this infomation very usefull but in my mind i think the best safe place would be in a house but take these steps in help improve your chances . 1 destroy the stairs to make sure zombies cant get to you . if you cant destroy them then block them with cupboards chest of draws or anything just to slow them down . 2 if the bedroom has a lock on the door use it the sound of them breaking the door down will give you the best alarm ever. 3 keep your weapon with you at all times

If sleeping alone is your problem try showering and brushing your teeth more often it will make you more attractive to your desired mate. I am just saying.
No this is good info to think about, if you are unfortuantly G.O.O.D. on your own when and where can you safely let your guard down enough to let your body get the rest it needs. We all need to put some thought into out individual Bug Out plans about down time for our bodies. Great idea x-wolfhunter
